I found it kind of hilarious that everyone was relieved when he stopped the light show. I would be scared shitless if a giant monster who was right in front of you just disappeared. Anyone else notice the alpha frequencies that Godzilla is giving off? Like you hear the sounds that his spines make when he is pulsating the nuclear energy, and it’s just so cool. He also gives off other sounds too and I feel like they emphasized the alpha frequencies a lot in this movie.

Mark was a good human character. He brought baggage, leaving room for development. He has a field of expertise so he's not useless. And he stared down Godzilla. So there's that.
And the fact he overcomed his hatred to Godzilla for killing his son and decided to help him to fight Ghidorah really show his character development. Shame, in GvK, he only has 2 minutes of screen times just to ask "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?" Every time.
I’m so glad that I saw this in IMAX. This scene had everyone in my theater dead quiet. You didn’t even hear people eat popcorn or cough. I’m pretty sure my face was like 😳.

This scene was so fucking good in the cinema, everyone absolutely shat themselves even before the jumpscare, the intimidation display definitely intimidated us in the theatre
At the theatre, it was REALLY loud and unexpected, which really made it work so well since we were in the dark and relaxing like the characters, then BOOM.
The guy does a good job calming down, bcause he calms everyone in the theater's down right until Godzilla appears and scares everyone and we all jump, nicely done. Does anyone notice that?
