Exoto XS are perfection except for the paint imperfections and bad ceo owner. CMC hasn’t improved their craftsmanship or detail level throughout the years. In fact the quality has gone down lately, yet they charge a lot more.
Re Ferrari 250gto I did order this model as soon as it was announced thou my dealer and was told we could only have one amongst 20 of us even when the price was jacked up ,so what about doing some more for us dedicated cmc collectors hey !
Wow what a big car you’ve got there, love the interior too,I would have added this to my collection but it’s too big Did you get the Ferrai 250 GTO Parts in picture frame display,I really wanted one you have to be someone very special to CMC to ever get one!
It's interesting you mentioned the interior, since my only critique on this otherwise seemingly perfect model would be about those red coverings, which appear to be made of actual *real* leather. _But wait!,_ - you might think, - _Doesn't that make it more genuine?_ Well... you see, if it were up to me, I too would try to carry as many of the original build materials from the full scale subject over to its miniature counterpart as possible. However, some definite exceptions to this would be *natural* materials, such as wood and leather. Why? Because, while authentic, these just don't scale down well due to texture frequency. Thus, when utilized in a model, they end up *subtracting* from the realism, not contributing to it (ironically enough). I'd strongly argue that certain features are better off faked. My idea of realism is being able to pass a photo of a model for the real thing without any such dead giveaways.
What a perfection.... Hats off...
