I'm just learning how to make beaded keychains. I have probably watched 👀 30 different videos 📹 if not more. Needless to say, every single one was a big fat failure for me. I finally found the perfect solution 😍 YOUR VIDEOS 📹 😍 I'm so happy 😊 to announce that I finally made one with your instructions that did not fall apart 😀 😄 😊 I was giving up. After today, I finally see the light at the end ✨️ of the tunnel 🙌 ✨️ 🙏
AWwww this is sooo sweet!! I'm so glad I was able to help you out. When I started I struggled finding a video too, and that is why I created one. In hopes it would help someone else create these wristlets and keychains. I hope you enjoy making lots of them :)
I do not make baby items. As I know these items have to be tested before selling and I don't want to carry insurance on this type of product. Sorry i'm not help there. there are some groups on Facebook that help with all this stuff though.
Are you looking for supplies in bulk? The Nylon thread I have made well over 100 wristlets and keychains with one spool. I JUST bought another spool (which I have not used yet) as I'm almost finished using the one i've had for over 1.5 years. I have all supplies linked in the description. If you buy silicone beads in bulk of 100 - 200 you get a good variety of beads. I also have some sites (not amazon) that I purchase from. I'll do a video on that soon.
Yes! That is why i like using the big 20mm wood bead and that is my end point. That way I can tuck the knot into that bead as the opening is wider. I like using the glue just to secure it more. But it probably wouldn't be needed.
Thank you so much for your kind comment. I struggled finding many videos so I wanted to make one to help others. I’m working on lanyards now and will share that process as well.
Thanks so much for your video tutorial! It was awesome. I made some of these tonight for the first time. I could not get the bead puller to work. It was way to flimsy. Not sure if I did it right, but I followed of the steps that you gave.
@Janan Carlson yes it can be a little difficult to use sometimes. There other styles of these needles too. And you don’t need to use it. I just personally found it easier to thread the beads.
I personally like non stretchy. I tried stretchy and just couldn’t get my knots right and they would fall apart. I tested several elastic strings and because I’m not confident in knot tying them I found the nylon string to work great for me.
I have it linked in the description. I purchased directly from the Bearly Art website and a local scrapbook store. But you can also purchase it on Amazon.
I do not. I found I wasn't able to tie my elastic tight enough and it would easily break. I test several different elastics too. I just was never able to get the knot tying down. Though i know several people have made it this way.
I didn’t see how you attached the cord to the ring with the hook/clasp at the very beginning…. Can you make another video for COMPLETE Beginners please xxx ❤xxx
So I don’t exactly measure… but I cut a little over 1.5 of the length of what I’m using. So if it is a wristlet, I have my beads laid out and I take the cord and measure it along the beads I have laid out and do that 1.5 - 2 times before I cut. The more you make the better you will get at judging the amount you will need. Does that make sense??
Hi, can you recommend a different glue that is similar to the Bearly Art? It is unavailable right now. I did find it on the Canadian Amazon site (I'm in Canada) but the bottle is $50. I was hoping to find a similar product at a better price. Thank you! :) Thank you for sharing, I can't wait to start.
Any art glue should work. Art Glitter glue, beacon 3 in 1, scotch quick dry, or Alene’s tacky glue though thAt may be too thick and harder to use. If you can any with a fine tip that will help push the string through. A syringe filled with glue may work though too.
I don’t think so. You could probably use wood beads as well. I do use the one wood bead and it works just fine. Silicone beads have a little squish to them. But I think any plastic or wood bead would work great!
Hi! For the 15mm Beads I use - 15-16 silicone beads and 1- 20mm wood bead for a small/medium wristlet and - 17-18 silicone beads and 1 - 20 mm bead for a medium / large. For the 12mm beads I use - 18-19 silicone beads and 1-20mm wood bead for sm/md - 20-21 silicone beads and 1-20mm wood bead for med/ lg
Yes. I actually buy most my round beads from Amazon and haven’t had an issue. Focal beads, I usually buy from a small company. I sometimes buy round silicone beads from Etsy if I’m looking for a coordinating set. But those do take longer to ship. If I’m just looking for a variety of colors, definitely Amazon.
This tutorial is great thank you so much! Question, I just made my first one and the silicone beads did not slide on as easy as yours did. Is there a special trick? Lol
Hi Kristen. Sorry I’m just getting to this comment. I have been extra busy with a toddler. Lol what type of string are you using? I’m using nylon thread and it seems to glide on. I’m using 1mm thickness. When I use a thicker weight, it does take some extra pulling of the beads.
@@LaceyIgo no worries I have a 2 year old of my own and she is a handful lol. I am also using the 1mm I got the same one you linked in the video. My fingers don’t seem to have the best grip I guess on the needle (which is the same one you linked).
Any art glue should work. I use Bearly Art Glue, but Art Glitter glue, beacon 3 in 1, scotch quick dry, or Alene’s tacky glue though thAt may be too thick and harder to use. If you can anything with a fine tip that will help push the string through. A syringe filled with glue may work though too.
Yes, it is a nylon cord. I tried cotton and it wasn't sturdy for me (as when I pulled to make knots, it would break), I also tried different kind of elastic threads, but also wasn't happy with the results. But that is my personal experience. I like using the Nylon cord the best. And the one I have listed comes in many colors :)
Around the 12:35 marker you can see how I open a jump ring. I close it the same way I open it. Sorry, I don’t make videos often and tried to get the best I could to help others. I struggled when starting to find a simple video to follow and wanted to share what I had learned with others
Great tutorial! I thought I would just "throw some beads on a string", but it was a little more than that. LOL I appreciate the tutorial.
It is fairly simple to make. I can make several in a short time frame. The part that takes the longest is deciding on the beads i want to use
This was such an easy to follow video! Thank you so much! I’m going to follow it to make a new lanyard for school! Thank you soo soo much!

Oh great and thank you!! I hope you have great success making them. I find it therapeutic
What beading needles do you use?
Thank you, your wonderful explain & demonstrate so Nicely

Thank you for sharing! Your videos are the best! Please tell me what kind of the glue you use. I can't find and with needle top!!
Very helpful

Those are cute, thank you for sharing.
The tutorial I was looking for! Thank u !!
Can I ask what glue do you use that has a fine point like that?
What kind of rope did you use for this?
Great tutorial!

I’m sure. Test it out and see. I haven’t tried it so I can’t so 100% yes! But no harm in trial and error! I hope it works out for you!!!
Are you able to tuck in the string without the wooden bead
Yes! That is why i like using the big 20mm wood bead and that is my end point. That way I can tuck the knot into that bead as the opening is wider. I like using the glue just to secure it more. But it probably wouldn't be needed.
I should have said yes you tuck into the silicone beads. It is a bit more difficult as the opening is snug with the string. But I have done it.
love this tutorial, thank you. Can you tell me the bottle of glue with the needle nose you are using?
Hello! Yes sorry for the delay in response. I use Bearly Art Glue. It can be purchased off Amazon. I think I have it linked in the description above.
8:01 Silicone Beaded Wristlet Keychain love it I can DIY something new just like it I will try that someday I got so many keys
YeS! I find them therapeutic to create :) happy making
I love this video! I have purchased the material to make these key chains. Where do you buy your beads from?
For round beads I often purchase from Amazon.
Where do you pick up the ring?
Loved the tutorial! Quick question, do the keying and lobster clasp tarnish easily?
No, they don't
Not that I have experienced
Loved your tutorial. The best I’ve seen on nonelastic wristlet keychains.
What do you mean by the bead puller, the needle?? What did you use as your string?
@Janan Carlson yes it can be a little difficult to use sometimes. There other styles of these needles too. And you don’t need to use it. I just personally found it easier to thread the beads.
What do you find to be the best to use for beaded keychains? Elastic or non stretchy cord?
I personally like non stretchy. I tried stretchy and just couldn’t get my knots right and they would fall apart. I tested several elastic strings and because I’m not confident in knot tying them I found the nylon string to work great for me.
No matter what I do my knot slips when it’s pulled, any tips?
Where can I find the glue you use that has that tip that goes through the beads?
I have it linked in the description. I purchased directly from the Bearly Art website and a local scrapbook store. But you can also purchase it on Amazon.
Cute 😊
Thank u for the video
Thank you so much! Happy making !
Hey whats the name of the glue
I struggle with pricing these but love them
Do you use elastic also

I didn’t see how you attached the cord to the ring with the hook/clasp at the very beginning…. Can you make another video for COMPLETE Beginners please xxx ❤xxx
Can you do the keychain without a tassle
Yes of course. I actually sell mine with it as optional and people can pay to add one on for $2.00
How much cord do you use For both key ring and bracelet
So I don’t exactly measure… but I cut a little over 1.5 of the length of what I’m using. So if it is a wristlet, I have my beads laid out and I take the cord and measure it along the beads I have laid out and do that 1.5 - 2 times before I cut. Does that make sense??
How do you determine what size the wristlet should be?
I kind of make 3 sizes. And it was trial and error for me. If I use 15mm beads I use 16 for “small”, 17 or 18 for “medium” and 19 - 20 for “large”
hi what happens if i cant find the clue what other clue i can use?
What size is the wooden bead?
20mm is the size of the wood bead
Do you use waxed cord ?
I don’t. I just use the nylon cording.
thank you this help out alot.
Oh great!! Happy making!!
@@LaceyIgo what size bag would you use for them?
@@MisDee I don’t package mine in a bag. But I think 4x6 would work with a card
Every time I loop my long strand back through the last two beads and pull, they just come right off the string. What am I doing wrong?
Are you tying a knot after you thread it through with the strand you left behind?
Do they have to be silicone beads or can I use any beads?
I'm sure you could use a wood bead as well.
Thank you for the awesome details! So helpful!

Hi! For the 15mm Beads I use

- 17-18 silicone beads and 1 - 20 mm bead for a medium / large.

@@LaceyIgo Thank you so much for the information. And replying back

do you sell them
That’s my problem I think and worry I can’t do it hidden the knot is hard for me
I use the tip of the glue I have to shove that knot in the big 20mm wood bead. Otherwise I would struggle to hide it too :)
Is that nylon cord?
Yes, it is a nylon cord. This is very helpful and very nice video but at the very end you being off screen doesn’t help for much😊.
I still don't get it
What is your question or where you getting lost?
It’s easy keep watching you’ll get it
Looks like 1mm paracord ❤😅
What other things do you make with silicone beads besides the keychain and wristlets ?
lanyards is another idea for use. Also, some people make baby teethers, but I don't want the liability that comes with that.
Your hand was out of cader so we didn't see the important part of vedio .. thanks anyway
What did you miss? The tying? I just did a double knot like you tie your shoes.
Or when I’m closing the jump ring? You want to twist it. I will be doing a video soon on opening and closing jump rings. Key is to twist and not pull
