Tennessee Pass

The Denver & Rio Grande Western RR and the Southern Pacific RR essentially merged in the late 80s when the D&RGW owner purchased the SP. As the SP was larger, its name became the railroad name. In the early 90s it was still possible to see a complete D&RGW train. My wife and I chased and photographed trains one summer day in 1991. She picked black berries at Red Cliff where she had found them years before
