Beautiful scenery that no one could see unless by rail. Stobe would have been in flip flops and sipping a Steelie . . . . No music needed . . . just the music of the rails, nicely done.
I loved watching this video, especially that house. I get a physiological reaction to seeing such structures that close to railroad tracks: how did the owners like living there? When did they move and for what reasons? Did they intentionally build there or, more likely, was it there when the railroad arrived and they didn't want to sell? You get my point. Regardless, I hope you enjoyed your weekend staying there. Thanks for the video.

Often when I watch these videos I cannot help but wonder what it is was like when they built the tracks. The land was pretty much wide open back in the push to lay track. Beautiful land mostly untouched except by natives that cared for the land. And yet the men had reason to worry about the Natives in some areas and outlaws in other areas. Natural man law at its height in North America.
Md Nealy Bet they were mostly built with prison labors for free. They won't pay that kind of money it will take to built high speed tracks. That scenery has changed little since the pioneer days, you can almost visualize native Americans in the river watching in amazement as the iron horse goes by.
