  • On Wednesday 13th March, we were joined by Dr Emma Lethbridge who discussed what the term trauma means in relation to horses' mental state, how to recognise signs of trauma in horses, how responses to trauma can differ between horses and the implications for managing and training horses who have experience trauma. Emma was then joined by equine behaviourist Justine Harrison to answer your questions in a live Q&A.

    I love the illustration of physical brain responses to trauma! While my OTTB is genetically vigilant, this webinar lends credence to some of my theories about possible acute and chronic trauma in her racing past resulting in long term complex trauma patterns.

    Truly love the topic. I find it hard to listen to with the "ehhm, those things, ah...etc"
    😢 sorry, but the presentation seems a bit disorganized and not well prepared- that's how I feel.
