  • In this video I finally watched Get Out for the first time and it was an absolute ride. It was great to see what all the hype around the movie was all about. I was left pretty much speechless and loved the originality of the film. Watch along as I go on the unsettling journey that is "Get Out"! Thanks for Watching!! Like And Subscribe!!

the original ending was originally that it was a cop that didn’t believe him and he was arrested and put in jail for life. You can see it in deleted scenes. But Jordan peele said when he showed it to audiences, especially black audiences, it just sucked all of the joy out of the end of the film and made them feel so hopeless. So he decided to go with the “fairytale ending” where he gets out and gets away with it.

I thought that was the only part of the movie that made no sense and didn’t fit with the rest of the tone of the movie. There’s no reason for them to all stop instantly like that, it doesn’t fit with their characters and it doesn’t fit with the surrealness level seen in the rest of the movie. Maybe if they naturally ended their conversation and looked over it would have been fine, it wasn’t like they were having fake conversations the whole rest of the time.

If you re-watch it and hear the dad talking about the dear, replace that with black people. Notice how he had to pick cotton to save himself (putting it in his ears). He killed the dad with the Buck head. The scene where the gf is drinking milk (white) and the cereal she's separating (segregation of color). There's a bunch of other shit in this movie that is genius like that.
