Yeah, wonderful strong lifeforce🎼🤸💥🌋🎶 Can' t believe Ellen and Katie still look the same ( young and beautiful, energetic, dedicated, happy ) ten years later..🏵️
Wow what a high energy performance. Ellen was bringing the attitude with that head action. She tore that song a new........well lets just say she tore that song up! I love the look on Ellen’s face when leans back into her lead . They were all gettin’ it and enjoying every second of it.
Wow !! Already fantastic ten years ago !! Katie was still playing a four-stringed fiddle, then one day she realized it was too easy for her and ... she had to add another string. 🎻 🎶 😉

Wow… this is 11 years ago? It’s one of my favorites and I’ve only seen it one time! 😂 Hard to believe they came in second place. I didn’t know Katie used to have blonde hair.
A decade back, Karen, the mother, was playing the mandolin and Jon, the father, had the bass viol. When Julianne was ready, Karen was willing and able to go to the bass (and trumpet when called upon) and Jon went less active, but it is said Jon is with the group on Wednesdays at the local Branson theater but I wait to have a few of these posted to see which they must do in time as what is gospel music for except to share and many of us have large mountain ranges to drive over or around to see the show, which is unlikely. So how about a video to feature your father playing the piano, or whatever in a gospel setting, one more in addition to his backstory of y'all being reared in solid multi-denominational Christianity and became , in most of our eyes, the all-American music family of this generation which we hope will last for decades...more.
WOW !! Gittin it On !! Happy Thanksgiving today 7 and a half years later! 2019 You folks were that good way back / I love ya all. God Bless and many more years of happiness , health , and love of fans n family. Jimmy O. / Ohio
Whoo-hoo!! A tour de force. Just the 'choreography' was tough enough, but that was the easy part. I felt like Johnny Cash 'cause I could hear that train a-comin'!
You should hear the sound quality on this one! This one sounds especially incredible with headphones! One of their best recordings! th-cam.com/video/kzapZp_DLlQ/w-d-xo.html
Dear sweet and sensitive, sister in our Lord Jesus Christ, Mrs Ελένη ( single lambda) Petersen, i am so glad to see you wearing the life giving holy Cross. ( hint: Katie your destiny is to enter to a holy Christian Orthodox monastery...perhaps i foolish, but is that i ( no capital i plz ) feel for you). You are all amazing, God bless you all, and human kind.
I think everyone is accomplished enough to have their own mic? Just line 'em up and let the sound guy mix the group? Sure is a great sound, and their choreography to get the mic mix is a lesson in group arrangement!

old days when dad was still actively with the band. nice to see the whole family
why he not involved anymore?
The whole family is not there- no Julienne yet.
From what I hear, he still plays piano at their gospel shows.

I’m such a fan of this young lady
Bluegrass band's best performance in the genre. Let's barring Bill's body back to Kentucky.
*LYRICS - Kentucky Borderline*
------------
She pulled out of Mobile
In the pouring rain
Movin' through the darkness
Like a hurricane
From southern New Port waters
To the Cumberland so green
Louisville by Nashville
An' all points in between
Pounding out a rhythm
Making up lost time
Heading for that
Bluegrass state of mine
White smoke a-rollin'
Whistle blowin'
Listenin' to her engine keepin' time
Kentucky borderline
Montgomery my morning
Birmingham by noon
Onward through the timber
Upward to the moon
Her lonesome whistle cries
A low sighed refrain
Like the boys down on Mill Street
Singin' of the pain
Nothing can ever stop her
From her appointed rounds
This train is moving on
It's glory bound
White smoke a-rollin'
Whistle blowin'
Listenin' to her engine keepin' time
Kentucky borderline
Her lungs are full of fire
Breathin' burnin' coal
Her ragin' locomotion
Like thunder when it rolls
Singin' for the mighty
Who cast her molten steel
Drawed the spike and layed the rail
To ride beneath her wheels
The pride of our nation
She's a monument to them
A southern bell
That mighty L&N
White smoke a-rollin'
Whistle blowin'
Listenin' to her engine keepin' time
Kentucky borderline [x2]
Kentucky borderline
The TALENT here just blows this South Arkansas Boy Totally Away....
That breakdown where it's just Ellen, Katie and Karen is genius. Perfect right before Ellen's banjo solo.
Mama Rules!!!!
Katie playing is mighty fine. Kickin performance.

I keep watching this video. Ellen is really taking off here, so full of energie. Watch her expression at the beginning of her solo. Love it!!!
What an amazing musicians! And all members of the same family! Thank you for showing what music is all about!
Go mom and dad!
WOW
Mom burns up the mandolin!
...and Dad bobbing at the Bass
is sweet too..
Holy cow, that is some vocal talent on the stage, and the mastery of their instruments! Superb.
You go Mom mandoline and bass my two favorites
Don't often see Mom playing a mandolin solo, she's usually playing a stand up bass. Whatever she plays it's just great.
She is the only one with a degree in music.
@@DanielCPurdy Yes...in trumpet performance!

That was amazing. A few more mics and you wouldn't have needed the dance routine. Lol
how come dad doesn't play anymore?

More money in medicine. He can really play the piano.
