You will notice that the west bank doesn't have to clean up rubble. That's because they don't fire rockets at civilian areas unlike Hamas from Gaza. Its like people in Germany complaining because the allies caused widespread destruction to Berlin.

An occupied people have the right under international law to use armed resistance against the military occupier. On the other hand, a military occupier has no right to self defense against the occupied people until it ends the occupation. Under international law, Gaza is still under Israeli occupation as Israel controls its airspace, entries and exits, movement of people and goods, territorial waters etc. This occupation was held to be illegal and a crime against humanity by the UN and many human rights groups.
I too can just not wrap my head around this. What has been going on in Palestine is horifically unbelievable. 73 YEARS! May Allah grant these courageous people relief and ease.
