WHO AM I:
👋🏽 I'm Martin, in esport world known as STYKO. I’ve played CS:GO & CS2 professionally for a few years in various best international teams in the world.
👣 I used to be a part of HellRaisers, where my esport journey started. I represented mousesports and peaked #2 in the world and I also wore Cloud9 and FPX jerseys, one of most famous esport organisations in the world. At last, I was a part of team Apeks which made it to TOP4 of last CS:GO Major in Paris. Currently I play for Monte

22:25 I love how you actually rationalize that it was an in-the-moment call, and those just sometimes don't work out. 99% of the coaches I've seen would spend about 5 minutes trying to explain why this is a bad play, which it very well may be, but you brush past it and move on, with the thought that Viggo and most people understand why the play didn't work out and what wasn't ideal with it (with you mentioning that it's just an unlucky 50/50, and that his teammate main didn't play for the trade).
As you get higher up in ranks, finding genuinely good coaching content becomes very difficult, but I think this channel is an underrated gem.
Thank you. 😊
When coaching and doing demo reviews, I try to focus on repeating & reocurring problems. That hints me into the area where student is not aware that it’s a problem in the first place. If I see anomalies I don’t pay too much attention, as player probably knows if and why the play was bad. It especially happens in clutches, 3v3s with loads of gaps around map or when incorrect comms come through (which we can’t hear in a demo).
how to summon horse elden ring 2:20 😂
xd LOL
good catch. I simply couldn’t find a way how to do it 😅 good reddit helped
@@STYKO bro, u first need to beat that golden rider once u spawn in

Having a high Elo does not mean one is better than a pro with a lower Elo. That guy knew it, which is why he asked you to coach him.
Having a high elo means you've been winning games, which is what this game is about. Unless someone bought the account, high elo does mean he is better on average.
@@mateuszc70 still! You cant pick any high elo player from face it and put him on tier 1 team, most likely he wont be able to perform as good as a pro player.
you don't think Styko knows that already?
I mean pro cs and faceit pugs are just two different games. The high elo player might be better at pugs specifically, but he also realizes he can learn a lot from an actual professional
no way really i was wondering why wow LOL
20:20 maximum jinx lol
Guy thought he was playing Assassin’s Creed there
Much love STYKO! been loving the vids
Thanks for stopping by 🤜🏽🤛🏽
the god has spoken, so much info actually.
thanks again Styko

Nice new intro!
Good video how you justified and gave tips. Would also be cool to have a tip for the calling for a round what your thoughts would be there on a semi pro (or just below) level

@STYKO: on 22:20 timestamp, they lost outside info because the secret player died and their ramp player also rotated towards under heaven, leaving the CT's with very little info. Maybe thats why he pushed the smoke, to get info on lobby and take some space back? Maybe the play couldve been made 5-10 sec later but if they dont have outside or ramp info i think its good to make a play for lobby
speedie ftw! haha
@styko what do you think of the new spawn system? i hate how i can have shit spawns the whole half (especially on T side - where i accel with entries)
this guy walks through every smoke he sees lmao - but it works for him i guess :D
btw @Styko: how did you bind the +/- 15 seconds? i remember looking for the command but couldn't find it
Actually, a lot of time those smoke pushes are justified. Once he pushed a guy on reload, once he pushed as 100hp vs Scout and on multiple occasions he had sound cues to play off of. He was “fishing” for timings and got a load of impact in return (if we ignore first few rounds)
For binds I did a video here - th-cam.com/video/RnZiCjaW4qs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HCRCkoJojSvkFU5b
3.7k elo in NA is practically impossible
During IEM Dallas a lot of EU players just kept grinding that faceit queue to inflate the ELO once they came back to Europe 😄 But I guess 3.7k is just too much to grind for…
@@STYKO the problem is if you are above 3k elo here you will wait in a queue for 15+ minutes and then get a game where they just dodge :((( lower player count here hurts I want to play in Europe where there is so much passion
@@bcc1876that is complete bullshit u dont even have lvl 5 why are i speaking for 3k eu elo
@@Wasserschwein123 yeah thats what i was thinking
@@bcc1876 So what is your ELO?
I'm already level 10 so if you think I'm bad I really don't care lmao
Hey STYKO, could you make a video on what to look for when watching demos?
he actually has a video on this ^
@@rustybrownproductions ohhh thanks!
@STYKO any chance you can give a video on all your settings including config etc ?
I did one before but for CSGO. I will prepare updated CS2 version if you’d like 😊
@@STYKO also would love to have reasoning for each setting from a pros pov, otherwise people will just blindly copy haha. If you have a reasoning ofc.
Can you please move the mouse away during the replay, especially if you view sb with tiny crosshair? Since the youtube-Render I could barely see the xhair so your mouse was distracting me a lot :D
Sadly, with last CS2 updates cursor is stuck in the middle of the screen when watching demo. Even if I move it it will refresh into the middle anytime I want to change the camera angle or rewind to replay the round.
Just CS2 things… We will have to wait for fix. It’s annoying me a lot, too 😒
Speedie is the goat 😂
High elo in NA is much harder to get lmao what is he on, less player base in elo systems means a lower cap
Players who have played NA and EU faceit say it is actually harder to get elo in NA. For example, check donk stats while he was playing NA faceit and compare to his stats while playing EU. You also need a lot more elo in EU to reach the top 1000
Does hltv track all stats? I don’t have hltv account and have tons of league xp
No only certain matches - open qualifiers in like the last couple rounds i think from quarterfinals and after - tournament and other lan events
@@dai7ocs oh so basically just lan stuff? 0 league experience even premier/advance?
@@dai7ocs tons of us have premier/advance experience without an HLTV page
@@Fatkidlovecake yea but open qualifiers for majors used to be online - and those would count if you made it to day 2 idk what region you are fragadelphia is an NA tournament is low barrier to entry - teams are like main-advanced skill wise and making it to day 2 guarantees hltv record and profile
You don't need an account to view hltv? Unless they changed it.
Matches have to be higher profile or smth before they get tracked. Prolly a rubric somewhere online
Tell him to get another gaming chair. He can become like wonderful(_y)
As a 2400 Elo player I’d call his plays brain dead moves but actually I’ll start to try catching the timings like he did with smokes ngl
2400 elo is basically silver
@@BaHo-yp8ol lol
It's not braindead if you have the information, pushing a scout through smoke wouldn't be braindead, pushing someone who's reloading wouldn't be braindead, if the opponent gives you info on where he is, it wouldn't be braindead either.
@@BaHo-yp8ol whats your elo then?
20:30 - 3 K ELO MOMENT button
0:47 bro that's mad cope. Tell me you don't understand datasets without telling me... with a greater population comes wider spread of min/max (there are more EU Faceit players than NA), therefore, statistically, it is easier to achieve higher elo in EU than NA.
bro did 2 plays on t side every single round and kept killing them and then did the same play two rounds in a row on ct side and got 5 kills, idk what your opponents are smoking but its heavy. Peeking with dualies against 3 guys with w+a and on the left which means they will se u first like what ? And u heard at least 3 guys running towards you
He is 3.7k elo and you are level 9, you should learn from bro.
@@failaip12 tell that to kobe when he was in high school and there were bots in the nba and he wasnt in the nba yet, meaning just bc hes at a higher level doesnt mean his better, plus i did learn one thing that he and all of the guys i just watch are no different than anyone else
If the standard for coaching or mentoring was to actually perform better than the student at the practice of the thing…say goodbye to all the knowledge and experience. Say goodbye to legendary coaches.
That is true. Even though I am a pro player I consider myself rather weak FaceIt player… PUGs are just not my thing I guess…
@@STYKO stop trashing on yourself. Your energy is being spent elsewhere and this isn’t a standard held in any other sport. A huge percentage of coaches, while at one time very good - if not elite - are not expected to perform anywhere near the top level. I’m pretty sure Phil Jackson wasn’t out there dunking with Kobe if you know what I mean. And this principle extends to the millions of professional coaches, trainers and analysts who guide others to perform their best. You’ve been helping the community for a long time, everybody loves it, fuck the haters.
@@STYKO Common thing for a lot of team players. It's just a different game playing in a team and playing solo queue
