      Thanks! One of my favvorite tricks to play live is the 'one note solo'

    Great tutorial as usual! You really pick out the fine details that are easily missed, and I think everyone appreciates how you show the strumming pattern, which is crucial to any Cramps song. I wonder how P.Ivy developed her lightning fast picking, it is not as simple as it seems.

      It was fun to compare the live and studio versions. I thought this was going to be really quick and easy until I started noticing all the little nuances! Thanks Howard

    Thanks for the cool distraction to get me away from the Stooges binge you started here.
    I’ve been playing “Gimme Danger” and “I Need Somebody” for a couple days now.
    The Cramps “Garbageman” was one of my favourites.
    “Surfin Bird” was crazy live…sounded like they played it backwards at a deafening volume👍

    👍Hi MAN. I stopped making comments here...but in this case i have to. because: YOU ARE REALLY THE BEST TEACHER in this whole wide fucking web for this kind of music and all the hidden great music around, witch the most people don`t know even. the most stuff it`s that sound witch i grew up with (my first concert 77 was The Clash. But something i missed...and than came PSYCHOBILLY: "The missing link" between RockaBilly-Roll, Punk and .... In my opinion the Cramps are the real and first and only KINGS OF PSYCHO (got the luck to "sad"-saw them with the breathless Lux, a short time before his death). And the one and only The Meteors of course. who show us the bad side...and not only of Psychobilly....
    so. I THANK YOU !!! I even can imagine how much time and work it cst to do all youre GREAT LESSONS
    "mi amigo" g from germany and now my old rotting, rocking 🦴 try to learn a little bit from you 🧟‍♂🤠

    I need to buy a Gretsch guitar, sounds awesome! Thankyou Nico for this entertaining lesson. How do these guitars sound unplugged?
    Would some of the Beach Boys songs fall into Rockabilly, they would be really nice to do.

    • @DEATHRAYCAT
      @DEATHRAYCAT  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I like an unplugged hollowbody, not as loud as an acoustic guitar but nicer to play than a solid body without an amp, if you’re feeling lazy !
