the honestly need to fire commissioner, the afl is making the aaf look like a well run league
Well, it looks like he can’t be fired. He’ll have to resign. Unless his other partners in whatever entity own the AFL decide otherwise.
If this league plays a whole season it'll be a miracle
You’re not wrong there
It may yet make a whole season, but only have four to six teams left.
I need this League to make it… Life long arena football fan, the other indoor leagues don't cut it
We of course want this league to work. The IFL is playing really good ball though. Definitely worth checking out.
I hope you and your family are ok post tornado. I just started watching American Arena League and it’s not bad football! The Wheeling Miners actually have a decent stadium. Zero social media presence it’s odd to say the least
Much appreciated! All friends and family in the area are well, no injuries or major property damage, thank goodness.
Definitely hoping for the best with the AAL, but definitely hard to cover until they get their social media game up to snuff.
Glad to see you are safe! Have you guys seen the new NGL? A bunch of old AFL teams including the Sabercats and the Grand Rapids rampage, are joining it, which obviously has me crazy excited as long as it pans out
Not to sound a bad guy but NGL is a Scam don’t believe the founder/president Joe E. McClendon, III what he said, the league will never begin there inaugural season,it was supposed start way back in 2019 but didn’t happen same thing last year it was supposed start but didn’t, just search on Wikipedia and here on youtube and you will know full story about the ngl it’s not real league it’s a scam
The ngl is a scam
@@rookie_x can’t be any worse than how the AFL turned out to be
Much appreciated! And yeah…we don’t trust anything in or around the NGL.
Is Jeff Fisher the commish yet?
God, if only…
I’ve heard that Bishop Sycamore was awarded an AFL franchise
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Keep these videos going! Did you hear about the Georgia Force?
Much appreciated! We did. Added something about them at the end of the video. But the other details that have been coming out will surely be brought up on the next one.
at this point the ifl should just buy the arena football name rights, honestly i think this could finally make them seen as the official league of that sports, them being in the shadows of the afl is what keeping them done
They aren’t in the shadows lol. It’s 2 totally different brands of football. The IFL is not arena football, it’s 11 on 11 indoor football. Arena is 7 on 7 Ironman football with guys playing both sides of the field. 2 totally different ball fields.
Arena and IFL are both 8 on 8.
Ifl is not 11 on 11 haha
@@NashvilleFootballJunkie The offensive and defensive styles of play are different in both leagues. The AFL has one receiver in motion, while the IFL has two in motion. And on defense, the IFL is less restrictive while the AFL is more restrictive.
hope your ok, tornado can get scary
Yup, all is good! It was pretty crazy and the aftermath is just as nuts. I’m sure it will be discussed on the next podcast.
I hope that most if not all of the teams move to the IFL which according to many arena football fans is the only arena league that's stable and has a solid plan for the growth of their league
The IFL also has a partnership with the UFL, meaning that the players have the opportunity to advance their careers.
@@PTSayoriD even though the IFL website still uses the XFL logo that just links to the UFL website
Glad that you were unaffected by the tornado. Those can be so scary! One wonders why the league commissioner has been so silent, it tells me he doesn't have a clue what he's doing. Nor does he seem to have any idea of how to solve the issues facing it. The league is making the old WFL look like it was a well-run league by comparison. I'm only surprised more teams haven't folded yet. Is there a betting line yet on whether the league makes it to the end of its season?
Oh I’m sure there’s someplace taking those bets. News has been changing so much since these videos post, it’s crazy to keep up with.
Indoor football was already running a bit thin as is, with the 3 main leagues. So the AFL decides to start out with 16 more teams, what a joke.
Yup. 16 teams to start were definitely one of the many concerns we had going into the season.
Any stats would be nice
It’s like…one of the basics of running a league lol
Who made Lee Hutton Commissioner?
At this time, it sounds like whatever private entity that owns the league.
@@theworldoffootball If that's the case, It makes you wonder how well they really knew him. Yes, he is probably a good attorney and well-respected in his industry at least locally but in this venture, he is coming across as a very dodgy and shady businessman who appears to be in over his head.
He's apparently quite incompetent. I saw the introductory press conference and it was both horribly presented and unprofessional. Looks like the bad start was the high point.
And now your Myth have folded 🤦🏻♂️
Yeah…pretty bummed…
@@theworldoffootball I know the feeling. Lost 3 arena/indoor teams in OKC.
The league is going to fold and be bought by the owners of the successful teams
That’s definitely a possibility. But, the stable owners are set up to move shop to a different, more stable league too.
@@theworldoffootball I want AFL it has better rules than the IFL imo
Agreed. Much prefer the Arena Football League style of the game. It’s not a knock on the IFL rules and style, just our personal preference. It’s what makes seeing the AFL struggle hurt so bad.
I like the idea of arena football, but the AFL had the worst launch (relaunch) of any sports league ever!
That’s hard to argue against.
