    baste the other 3 sides of the bag in place, 1/8th inch away from edge of bag
    trim any overhang from edges of pockets and set main body aside
    Make tab closure
    iron interfacing onto 2- 2 x 6 inch pieces of fabric
    sew magnet to wrong side of one of the pieces of fabric
    sew the two pieces of fabrics together, right sides together on 3 sides, leaving the bottom open for turning
    turn the tab, poke our your corners, press flat and top stitch 1/8th inch on 3 sides
    trim your finished tab to 5 inches long (or your preferred length)

    Bind the bag
    make 80 inches of 2 1/4 inch binding

    I thought that I must finish one design cross stitch before starting another. But when I see some cross stitchers who start stitching several designs in the same time, I finally think why not... It's a reason to create beautiful pouch for storage and I will stitching a design when I want... I will doing like you. 🥰🥰
    Thanks american stitchers for showing me a funny way to stitch 🌹

    Just a little comment about the frixion pens, be careful, they reappear when it's cold. And after a few cycles of cold/heat/cold, they don't disappear anymore

    • @ohsewmeo
      @ohsewmeo 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      If you Spray starch your fabric SEVERAL times before marking with frixion pen and use ONLY FELT tip frixion pens, (NOT METAL TIP) you will have no problem with ink reappearing. The layers of starch form a barrier so the fabric will not absorb the ink.

    • @gabrielleauclair254

      @@ohsewmeo yeah but the starch can discolour over time

    • @ohsewmeo
      @ohsewmeo 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @@gabrielleauclair254 not if you use Best Press. It’s more of a fabric finisher rather than hard core starch. Best Press has never discolored for me snd I’ve been using it for many years.

    • @theresabautista7010
      @theresabautista7010 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Why are you worried about starch discoloring……..you should always wash a quilt when your finished putting on the binding.

    • @gabrielleauclair254
      @gabrielleauclair254 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@theresabautista7010 The frixion pens are frequently used, not just for quilting, but for embroidery too. So it's important that people know what it does over time and with temperature differences. As for the starch, I don't know how the washing would affect it or not, nor how it would stand the test of time.

    If you need two pieces for the pocket that measure 10 1/2" by 13 1/2", that would require the fabric to be 21'" by 27" which is larger than one fat quarter which is usually 21" by 18". However if you used vinyl you would only need one piece the cut size. Great tutorial.

    HACK that works! What works great as a turning tool are those a cleaned extra large Bubble Tea sized straw and a chopstick that fits in the straw. Stick the straw and the edge you want to start turning and start pushing the chopstick thru along with the straw and push it thru using the chopstick to turn it out. The straw seems to slide along fine and I've turned a 60 inch strap thru no problem. I'm sure it'd work fine for long but so far the things I've needed it for haven't been much larger. Oh I turn a large pillow case thru no problem. I've been using this hack for quite a few years. Recenty I've noticed they actually sell something simular for way more money. If you have an Asian supermarket in your city they sell packages for very inexpensive amount.

    Thank you so very much for this tutorial. I made I think it was Ashley. This tutorial is so helpful now I see why you had us of some of the things we did. My next folder will be so much nicer now that I see what the end project is like. I am still using the other folder but my next one will look way more professional and I won't be ashamed to give it as a gift.
