I bought this exact car a year ago and there are a few flaws I'll NEVER get over; no illumination in the gloves compartment, no button to turn all dome lights on in the vehicle with a single push, tiny door bins, no automatic power rear windows, no fast forward/skip function in the media (awful, simply awful flaw), and last but not least subpar audio system. My shitty 2015 Passat (TSI) had all that and it wasn't even the highest trim (SE).
Damn shame on Honda. Damn shame.

Hi Mike thanks for this great review. I am looking to buy the Accord and so would you advise to wait for the new model thats been spy spotted at many places on the Road??? Hybrid or normal, it does not matter simply because if you can spend 35k on a car, then you can surely pay for the fuel. Usually people are living beyond their means.

Did you notice anything different about the interior shots? I used a special wide angle lens for my camera for the first time in this video. It gives a wider viewing angle however I am concerned that it looks too unnatural. What do you think?
I think that it looks great since it only occurs on the interior shots and not in the actual interior review part so its not creating any false expectations but rather gives it a nice view of the interior.So thats my opinion on it and i know that im a pain in the ass with this but can you please review a Hyundai accent sedan and a Hyundai sonata and can both of them have a bright colored interior like tan, Thanks :) Also what would be pretty neat if you started showing some options that the car can come with for example the car that your taking a look at has a black interior but you say that it can also come with a gray interior or a tan interior,if possible of course.Have a good day Mike :)

just bought one... good review, but there is so much more to know... like how far does it go on ev mode (not far)... how many bars do you need for ev mode ect... how do I get odometer to show vs trip data ect... not a scam in your video in any way but even the sales team could not answer all the questions I had... well I will figure it out...

Those who constantly run car in using electricity should have an extra small gasoline tank for temporory run or else more gasoline wastage may occur by keeping in actual gas tank, for run once in a while
Im driving this vehicle right now, I get over 60 mpg with my route and driving style. The car is fantastic. Only thing i would knock it for is typical with accords in general and they are noisy going down the road for the price. For the same price you can buy a lexus ES 300h which is dead silent going down the road.

The one thing that drives me nuts on japanese cars is that they put the volume/radio controls on the left side of the wheel. It makes more sense for it to be on the right side of the wheel, using the same hand as you would to operate the radio manually. I guess because they are made right hand drive initially and swapped over? Toyota and Honda do this but GM and Ford have it on the right side of the wheel.

What is the traditional battery under the hood for if there is already a big one in the trunk? Do you still have to change it every x years for the car to start like with regular vehicles?

a general question for some car experts, why don't they use real wood in cars? or is that only for luxury cars? i always wondered
the cost to produce these things in high volume would be prohibitive on mass produced cheaper cars. not so much with the materials, but the molding to meet tolerance (exact size) standards costs a lot more. keep in mind it's all about cost control on mass produced cars. trimming down parts to the pennies allows the car to be competitively priced.

I was super interested in getting this model used until I learned it has a CVT transmission... going to keep on looking.
Honda makes an excellent CVT transmission honestly the best out of all the CVT transmissions you won’t be let down that’s for sure but yes generally a normal transmission is better.
eCVTs in hybrids ≠ traditional CVTs. They are more reliable using gears instead of belts or chains. Although in the Accord hybrid it’s just a electric motor powering the wheels with the engine acting as the generator

Electric and hybrid cars have better fuel economy in the city because of regenerative braking which removes the added consumption of fuel in regular cars because the energy used to accelerate is put back into the battery while slowing down in between red lights for example.

I have a 2017 Hybrid Touring. I have been getting very low MPG on the highway. 35 to 42MPG is my normal. Is anyone else having this issue? I used to receive between 50 and 65MPG so I am pretty disappointed right now. Dealer and Honda keep saying nothing is wrong. I am driving on the highway with adaptive cruise on so it is not my lead foot contributing to this issue.
