Professor Clifford, I just want to say what a wonderful service your economics videos are.
As an undergrad who is frustrated by my Econ professor (who seems to like puffing his intellectual chest by making elaborate points and examples) you really seem to prove what a good teacher looks like. A good teacher is not someone who can assert their intellectual superiority by impressing dummies like myself, but is rather someone who can explain a complex theory in a simple, and understandable fashion.
Thank you so much for making these videos free as they are vital for struggling students like myself, even 5 years after you have created them!

Dude, you're the kind of guy who I would pay ridiculous amounts of money so you could perform seminars in Universities and Colleges on "How to hire professors". The thing is that it is not just this course that makes you a "cool prof." it is actually within your nature to be like that and this is an attribute that needs to be present in a hiring process of a professor. Your communication style, in general, has a positive effect on students and you connect well with them, I haven't seen you in person but I'm pretty sure this is the way it is. I'm pretty sure that students even tend to talk about their problems outside of the class with you as well. Lastly, please keep this up and I'm not going to say "hopefully every person teaches like you do" because then there wouldn't be much appreciation for people like you!

HEY YOU! Fellow high school econ student! if ever forget what goes to the government look for the box with "wings" (the left a right wings haha) .The money that goes to the government will alway be the box with triangles on both sides. pause at 2:39 to understand what i'm saying. The wings will either be the producer and consumer (taxes) surplus or dead weight loss (tariffs). I made up this mnemonic and got a 98% on my Unit 2 Test!!

Love your videos Great explanation accompanied with great visuals. on the topic of the video on taxes I am a citizen of Canada and many do not feel that taxes are "the enemy" or "dead weight" or "a burden". I know you did not create those phrases but you must realize these terms are biased and loaded. It would be great if you could add a "Springer's Final Thought" to this video explaining that taxes are used for health inspectors that check your restaurants for cleanliness; libraries; snow removal; keeping lakes clean and wildlife monitored/protected. In your video example you talk about milk. Taxes collected should be used to assess the long term health affects of growth hormones or anit-biotics on humans and to advise farmers on how to protect cattle from mad cow disease. Taxes are necessary revenues collected to pay for externalities that corporations do not factor into the price of their goods ie. take away coffee cups and their disposal.
Just a thought from your northern neighbour to help Americans not hate and mistrust government.

Same thing but think of it more as “left”. When you shift the supply curve to the left, the price increases and the quantity decreases. Remember your law of supply
