At university i was completely shattered i wouldn't understand anything taught during class. i had no motivation at all. But then i came across your videos i was motivated and i understood economics. Today i got my results au UNI level and i scored an A in Economics . I can't believe it though. But yesss its all because of You.. I am so glad I found your videos!!! Did not do well on my last econ test and was struggling trying to study for the make up test from jsut a textbook. My professor, and the textbook, only confuse me more and dont explain concepts very well, only discouraging me thinking it was hopeless. I have watched so many of your videos, and with only 5-10 minutes each, I have been able to completely understand all of these concepts and I can apply the knowledge too. Im so so grateful. You can truly tell that you want students to not only understand and apply econ, but enjoy as well, which is exactly what im doing. Thank you, school can be very hard and stressful and overwhelming but its professors like you that can make all the difference.

Professor Clifford - This lesson, in particular, is the one that I ponder the most. If the government institutes a price floor for a resource (labor, minimum wage), doesn't it guarantee a surplus of that resource (unemployment)? Wouldn't it be advisable to eliminate minimum wage and government subsidies for unemployed workers to allow the market to achieve equilibrium? Fluctuations in wages could then be tied to in/de-flation at the federal level (COLA no longer optional/negotiated). As a business owner, an increase in minimum wage would push me towards machines, not people. At the same time, people will have to go to work when they get hungry enough (sustenance).
