Thanks brother. Just finished the video from the run, did pretty good. Both of my gopro's messed up on me, but we still managed to make a decent video. I appreciate you watching and keep up the good work on your channel as well. I always look forward to your new videos 🎣.

I’ve fished trot lines for years. Had ‘‘em run hooks cut off, stolen or some rod/reel fisherman hung and cut main line.
One important thing I’d like to add in compliance with fish and game laws is most states require @ 10’ of cotton cordage to anchor your main line then tie your main line to it. This allows the cotton cord to rot and fall to the bottom of the body of water should it be forgotten.
Get-er-done and leave only footstep’s when we leave.

Georgia doesn’t require cotton. Thanks for watching

You need to buy your boy the right size lifejacket... That one he has on is way to big... Around here you would get a ticket for that... Great Video!

I'm in Missouri, this is what we would call a bank line. I have always attached both ends to tree stumps and such to keep the line off the bottom. I usually tie part of a brick onto the line in the middle to keep it under water, however the line forms a U shape and the hooks only hang about 5 of 6 feet below the top of the water, but they are never on the bottom. Seems if you anchor on end like you did, that the bait on the anchored half would actually be sitting on the bottom for over 1/4 of the line. Is there an advantage to doing it the way you do??

I want the bait on the bottom depending on the time of year. Once the thermocline sets in I use bush hooks as trots don’t work anymore. I have my best luck with as many hooks as possible directly on the bottom for catfish. Thanks for watching!

What time of the year and what phase of the moon is best/worst for catfish?

What is the best time of year and phase of moon to run trot lines?

My favorite time is April/ May, no moon.

What did you use to build the deck on the boat?

Cheapest plywood I could find 🤣. I think is 5/8 and heavy. I should’ve went lighter but then I would’ve had to add more bracing and aluminum was over budget for me. Thanks for the question.

GPS Trolling motor might help but they're expensive

That's why it's good for you to teach others how to set lines solo. I appreciate the time you take to show how it can be done.
