Isn’t this the guy who rated all taraweehs in batley/dewsbury area? I’d take whatever he says with a pinch of salt

How do I deduce he is a reputable scholar? Why are you trying to reinvent the wheel. Keep it simple for the layman like me and the 1 of the 4 mazaahib in my case hanafi fiqh. I don't have time to look for so called reputable scholar. Also who you regard as reputable I may not. Easy way is to follow 1 mazhab. I'm married n have 5 kids I don't have time researching opinions of ulama. Your concept is flawed.

So, just follow you local mufti you trust.
Most people who fanatically claim to follow abu hanifa and ascribe themselves to his school. Don't even know his name.
Yet, the same people when it comes to complicated matters they are interested will have time to research and ask, e. G. New phone, mortgages, benefits etc

Where is the honesty when discussing the differences?! The biggest difference is that Dewsbury darul uloom teach and propagate ash’ari-maturidi aqeedah. Islamic university of Madinah is firmly grounded on aqeedah and manhaj us-salaf

What an ignoramus! He says for the layman, the lenient position is always the correct opinion.... Just follow this to its rational conclusion... lol

Wow, someone greater than all of us, has said "make the religion easy for people" there is evidence in having such principles.... Where is the evidence for making things hard.
Yes, if there's a choice of options both with equal strength, choose the easy option

@@Adrian-yf1zg I don't think you know what you're talking about; better not to start giving opinions on the deen when you are clueless. Go and leave comments on a cat video or something and get your itchiness for opinion scratched in that way.
As for the speaker, he betrayed his fundamental misunderstanding of the very nature of differences of opinion and the difference between saying that every opinion is "correct" versus the correct position that every opinion is "accepted," and the fundamental obligation of the muslim to strive to determine and submit to the will of Allah (according to his capacity- for the mujtahid through pondering over the dalaail and ijtihad in the ruling and for the layman through ijtihad in choosing a mufti who is pious, learned, and god fearing to follow).
      Was salaam.

@meelash1 brother you are giving opinion too.
Plus what if you find salafi scholar more pious, learned and God fearing. Are you willing to follow the scholar?

@@MohOz A truly learned scholar cannot be a salafi, because salafism is an outgrowth of modernist ignorance. Salafis are ignorant of the fundamental prerequisite foundations of learning, so any "learning" that is built on those corrupt foundations is not learning, but ignorance.
