I replaced my sunroof drive cables and guides in the driveway on my 2017 F56 Had the repair info from Beamer printed out, watched about every video doing the initialization and THIS VIDEO was the only reason I could get the sunroof to run through the basic settings. ❤❤❤❤ bless you and your infinite wisdom 🎉😂❤❤
Wow. Thank you this worked. Hold the switch forward on the light position not entirely pressed down but just lightly until it initializes a full open and then close on its own. Which afterward causes the Sunroof Caution Light to disappear completely. Then it will open and close correctly afterwards. Much appreciation for this advice and information.
I was looking for a video or information like this online last week, I looked everywhere and couldn’t find any good information.. now I find it... ugh... I spent 4 hours troubleshooting the sunroof till I figured it out. The method that worked for me is a little bit different and I also made some mistakes along the way that some people might find useful. Here’s my take on it (lots of extra information): This is what worked for me: Push the button to the close position all the way down to “position 2.” With the sunroof already closed, hold the button down for close to 2 minutes, then it will start moving automatically, it will open all the way then close all the way as long as you keep holding the button (keep holding the button down until it finishes opening and closing all the way). I made the mistake of letting go of the button half way through and the sunroof would not move after that, it was stuck open. (if one has a sunroof that it stuck open, the following steps could work for them) I was a little nervous about the roof being stuck open, but I tried holding it down for 2 minutes again. Thankfully, the sunroof moved from the stuck in open position to a now stuck in closed position. It would not move but at least it was closed. Slightly nervous again, I tried for a third time from the stuck in closed position. I made sure to keep holding the button this time, it started opening, I kept holding the button and then all then it closed all the way. I then tested it and it worked perfectly. (BTW the Original problem with the sunroof was when I tried to close it, it would close then bounce back open into the vent position every time, however, one could gently tap the button till it closes all the way and override the automatic feature, but it was for a customer who wanted it to work perfectly, so I had to figure it out.
Let me just add ,that after removing pop-Up mosquito net, wind noise stopped completely ( even at motorway speed). I will still try to adjust it manually, and fit the net back once the weather is bit better :)
Nie do końca. Guzik ma dwie pozycje podczas zamykania. Wciskasz i trzymasz guzik w pozycji pierwszej (nie do samego końca, czuć mały bump jak tylko zaczniesz wciskać guzik to pozycja jeden ). Cały czas trzymasz w tej samej pozycji.

Nie do końca. Guzik ma dwie pozycje podczas zamykania. Wciskasz i trzymasz guzik w pozycji pierwszej (nie do samego końca, czuć mały bump jak tylko zaczniesz wciskać guzik to pozycja jeden ). Cały czas trzymasz w tej samej pozycji.
