Awesome string library! The legato look ahead feature is really cool and the multiple release types in the full version sounds great. You definitely put this library on my radar. The programming is clean and well thought out. I wish all the VST developers had these options between LL and look ahead. Cool stuff!
Thank you so much to all of the team for this wonderful library! The ability to download only certain mix mixes is so convenient, and the lookahead feature is *amazing* ♥ Looking forward to working with this as my core string library for quite some time :)
This is really good but could you please make the legato transitions a little more realistic ??? That would make it just perfect and more natural sounding,,,,!!
I was excited about TSS 1.0 before it even came out. But when it did come out it still seemed like it wasn't quite ready. So I didn't buy it. Fast forward to TSS 2.0 and I bought the complete version right away. It's a great companion with Performance Samples strings - where they both have that spectral technology but PS is soft, sweet and gluttonous, while TSS is bright, rich and firm. Peanut butter and Jelly 😋 - Wonderful great job I love it! And I LOVE only downloading some mixes because I there are a lot of virtual spaces and stuff these days so manatory downloading of all mixes isn't necessary. So good call!
Nice you mention performance samples....they are great...last released were amazing and vists 2 will blow away audience....but i have to say this one looks also veey promising
Huge Kudos to the devs! This and Vista II are the 2 string libraries I have most hope placed in. I've used Tokyo Scoring Strings 1, and with the exception of fast passages it has been the most musical of my string libraries to work with. This looks like a very nice upgrade to an already great product. Vista II isn't out yet (and is going for a different vibe), so I don't think you can do better right now. I'm hoping to get a good loyalty price on Vista II when it comes out, and would use that for the super-emotional build ups, whereas this can be an all-around bread and butter library, and though I just got it installed moments ago, it's clearly dry enough to handle all my reverbs beautifully.
So, I heard some anime OST arrangments in this walkthrough... Like 「英雄願望 〜アルゴイゥ卜~」 ... Well, very looking forward to the next library of Tokyo Scoring Series!
This update is awesome! I do wish there were dedicated playable runs that trigger in the look-ahead to make the strings sound even more realistic, but the library is already huge, so it’s all good! 🎶😅
Hi! Quick question: I bought the library for my fl studuo, but unfortunately the lookahead delay compensation plugin won't work for me. In the video you used fl studio as well and it seems you are able to make it work with fl studio. Mind if I ask how you did it?
i literally still can't even install this. asked 2 different places now waitin for a reply on the file sizes for each mix. apparently you can download just the default mix only so it's not all the 200gb file size.. but they dont' tell us what the size of each mix is in Pulse downloader.. been waiting for a reply from support for a day now.
@@Maplefoxx-vl2ew I installed it from scratch (I don't have TSS1) and the Cinema mix alone is 33.6 GB, although it needs more than that during installation. I don't know how much exactly since Pulse was claiming 490GB but it still let me start the download even if I only had 300GB free. Edit: I'd imagine each mix is the same size, except that the separate mic positions will of course take more space than the baked-in mixes
ok but what do you mean by "at least 400 GB of free space on the hard drive"? The original is only 90GB, how is the 2.0 version so much bigger? I don't have the space for that
To be clear, the 400gb requirement is just for installation as there are temporary files which are cleared after. The final size on disk is more like 200gb. The reason for the size difference is two additional complete mic mixes plus the Ensemble instrument which has its own new samples.

@impact soundworks Can we upgrade to compöete ehen buy essentials first? And is the pricedifference incl sale/introprice when upgrade within intro sale? In 'my deals' loyal custumers get extra % off but i cant find tokio essentils...but complete is listet. Why? Thanks👍
If you buy Essentials, and then later decide to upgrade to Complete, yes, you will receive a discount when you upgrade! Please check your My Deals again and see if Tokyo Scoring Strings Essentials is showing up now; we had to double-check our deal logic to make sure everything is working as it should be.
As much as I want to like this, unfortunately the legatos transitions still sound off, there's just something that makes it sound noticeably artificial and unnatural

This library it’s great, with a new update would be awesome to have the real Con sordino samples!
Very nice update ! Thx.

What an incredibly stunning string library. This is top tier stuff and must be the current pinnacle of Kontakt development. Impressive ❤
200GB is insane for this. How does the update more than double the original install size?
Because of the Additional Mix Mixes
Means new recorded samples(hopefully)

I've always loved TSS since it launched. 2.0 is just amazing. only downside is the disk space required for download...705Gb is quite a lot
705GB?? It can't be that much 😯 That's as much as full orchestra libraries.
@@JoshWiniberg i think its 70.5 gb - could be wrong tho
Just checked: old version is roughly 80 gb installed
Online says 200GB required for install.
@@JoshWiniberg Pulse tells me that I need 705Gb of free space to install it
