    Hey Cap! I was just chuckling a minute ago when I realized I bring 8 rod and reel combos with me when I go solo fishing the local creeks with my little 25Hp powered 1648......and you are doing all that with the two rods! 😂 Well anyway...... I'm pretty sure I'm over doing it now. Be blessed Cap and thanks for taking the time to respond to so many of your fans(a consider myself more than just a viewer). BE BLESSED ALWAYS!!! 🐟🐟🐟

Keep it up captain your inspiration is huge⚓️⚓️👍

    • @OutOnTheReef
      @OutOnTheReef  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I agree Dave you don't have to have a big boat to go the distances as long as the weather is great like you say you can do a lot with a small boat I feel like I'm in a huge boat And it's easier to maneuver it Marina's and also for towing it's a plus.

    "Emotionally Broken"!!! Sounds like the name for my next boat. Just like in Bimini, the more time you spend in areas like the Marquesas and Contents the more "Jewels" you will discover. Anchoring around the Marqueses is OK especially on the west side. No restrictions and a common Anchorage for lobstermen and multi day cruises out of Key West. The only military activity I have seen out there in the past 20 years is low flying jets going really fast. The island itself has little to offer but the waters to the south are amazing. We were in Bimini over 4th of July, the covid regulations have relaxed and it showed it. Honeymoon harbor and all the standard attractions were very busy. Keep exploring, it makes the memories that will last forever.

    • @OutOnTheReef
      @OutOnTheReef  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tim captain you have me laughing that my wife had to look emotionally broken is an awesome name for your next boat since the prices are so high and you get very little for your money now I understand why you want a call of that name and yes Bimini is very busy 4th of July but November December I usually go and it's pretty empty and it's awesome but there's very few people there that's when I love to go sometimes thanks for watching and hopefully I'll see you out there on the water captain And by the way thank you for the information about the marquesas that's really good effort captain👍⚓️

I'm sure you've handled many and taken them off the hook before. But not willing to take the chance being so far out. That's a very long trip you have taken through all those little Keys. We took a similar 8 day trip from Key Largo to the Content. But when we got there the tide was out to get to the sandbar area and too rough and windy to anchor for the night. Those sharp jagged rocks are no joke. Off the map we found safe anchorage at Tarpon Belly Key. We went as far as Snipe Key wanted to visit Mud Key and the Marquesses but we were in a small craft advisory most of the time and the whole 8 days was an stressful adventure. Loll. Another great video. After seeing you talk about the depths at time stamp 33:30, I would recommend you look at updating your chart plotter maps to the Garmin Navionics+ US South edition. All of your videos are Tampa/St Pete, Bahamas, or the Keys and I feel this would seriously help you with getting more accurate charts. I only recommend this due to it looks like you are using the generic charts that are loaded with the plotter. Keep safe and have fun either way Captain.

      @@OutOnTheReef I did the Cape Sable route many times in our Morgan 41 O.I. sailboat enroute from Marco Is. to the Keys or Bahama's. The fathometer did not always display this effect. There was always so much grass floating on the surface that I cleaned the engine seawater strainer each time. I always used "The Cap'n" raster charts on my boat's laptop navigation. They are reproductions of the government charts and usually have much more detailed depth and bottom type info than the vector type of most chart plotters.
