I use Sortkwik as my grip aide. It is normally used in offices and banks as a helper to count money or sort papers. I have my team using it after I introduce them to it.
I didn't hear you say which days you use. What day barrels do you throw? I am currently using black widows 18g from laser darts. Only my second year playing but I am to score well with them. The comfort with your own darts is amazing!!
Curious if you've considered the spinning shafts? They are supposed to help with deflections on tight groupings. I have found that I still get deflections, but with the spinning shafts I don't get the slanted darts in the board that I get with the non spinning shafts.
Try cuesoul tero ak7 shafts with ak4 flights. They are spinners that have friction, so they don't spin freely until they are hit by another dart. However, the shafts have a spring-loaded system, which helps with flighting and cover of the numbers.

Hey Dave, nice video as usual. As a beginner I'm struggling with consistency, especially as to how I should aim (i.e. always getting my arm in the same position). Do you use a part of your darts as an aim help, or is it just a feeling as to when you know you reached the correct height/position with your arm? Keep up the good work!
My darts is just below my eyeline. Do you know if you're right or left eye dominate? That might help line it up? I'd say my dart is in-line but just below the Triple segment of my target. On the 20's, 19's and 17's, I aim at the lower wire of the triple segment and stack from there. I have to remind myself to start low. It you hit above the triple, that segment can sometimes get blocked and you'll have to move on or take a risk of a deflection.
@@IronmanDarts Thank you for the answer. I'm left handed and left eye dominant. I'll try to line up my darts that way, the consistency (releasing the dart at the same spot, straight arm, ...) hopefully comes with time.
You gotta get darts in your hand and find a good grip. Barrel size is important too. I don't like the big barrels but they may be easier to hold. And weight might be a personal preference. I'd say start at 18 grams.

Find a dart that feels good in your hand. If you have a local dart shop go there and a lot of them will let you throw different darts.
