Blood Bowl is a Warhammer Games Workshop fantasy take on American football (NFL). It is set in the Warhammer universe and is played by Orcs, Elves, Humans and all manner of Chaos factions. Why is there any discussion over the cost of conceding? It's in the rules of BB2020 on page 67. These rules should just be implemented.

why punish someone who has probably just done an 8 hour shift of work they hate, hour traveling home, then after food ect has like 2/3 hours of free time, they start a game of BB it goes bad VERY early and you expect them to sink another hour plus into something they are not enjoying? its a long winded game , its not real life, your free time is real though if you aint having fun, concede, also that doesn't mean they shouldn't then play that kind of game as its there choice, plus the opponent gets sp its all good

The best solution (or punishment if you wish) for people that concede, is a) a concede icon next to their name and b) for the league algorithm to match them up only to other conceders until they finish x games without conceding. Those games will not offer any league/coach advancements. But maybe the playerbase is too small for something like this to work properly.
I would like to add though, although there are the people that concede to abuse the game, I do get that some games are over even in the first half and its not fun for a lot of players to continue playing. There should be an option for those people to leave the game by requesting to concede from their opponent. If they accept, game ends, 0 spp for the loser.

@@maximusest40kwarfare73 I have already talked about this and suggested having a option to consede that the other player has to accept.
We need punishment because of people that abuse this. I have played noumerous games where people used their apo on the first ko and then disconnected. Even more games where if my ball carrier was about to score next turn they disconnected. These people are just abusing the no punishment, they are not hard working mother's of 12 doing 3 jobs.
Which btw is not the best excuse ever... So, I invite over a friend to play a game I like that lasts for 1h. If I don't like the outcome after 30mins it is ok for me to throw away that game just because I have limited free time? It is a lengthy game and there will be 1 winner most of the times, you know that when you press search game
It should be a shallow slope of punishment, 5 minutes up to 5 weeks with loads of warning and break points. On a rolling basis or season basis.
Forget about it Andy. In-game chat will never been implemented because of the European legislation against cyberbullying.

@@AndyDavoBloodBowl BB2 already had chat before legislation was voted. So it had to be moderated to be kept.
And if you want a toggle on/off I think you will find yourself as having no chat in the end.
It should be both; double MVP (as per the Blood Bowl rule book) and they start getting progressive discipline on their account for conceding.
If people are going to play dwarves it's probably for the best that there's no in game chat.

If you're holding the ball on a concession. That player should get a TD.
One possible punishment is to lose XP based on the time in game. Might not bother everyone though.
Just had a game on turn 7 three knockouts in a row. The second half multiple heat casualties. I started turn 9 with 4 players. Conceded. After half the game he got around 250xp I got like 150.
After a bit of thought I think banning the team would probably be better than banning a player. If I had a string of luck like that I'd hate to be gimped by the system.
I’m learning the game, what was the reasoning for taking 0 inducements at the start? Seemed like there was a lot of coin to spend
im really feeling that dwarf are unbalance currently , i did fight a dwarf team at 1400 with full guard and mightyblow.

No, they did not. What you are expereincing is min/max dwarves with no redraft solution in place to stop this from happening.
Teamwide block is wholly unfair. I straight up insta concede. I'm not playing and having half my team go down with injuries.
That Block comes with MA4 to keep it balanced.
@@dambrooks7578 that would make it fair but they don't. Blitzers ar MA5 as well as troll slayers. Runner are MA6 only the dathroller has 4 as well as basic lineman. Which ALSO have tackle. The most basic player has ag 4+ with block AND tackle. Dwarfs are straight OP out of the gate.
@@ThatOneJoker I disagree strongly with this, Dwarfs has a great collection of skills yes, however if a person is unskilled in the game then they will find themselves easily out maneuvered and unable to get back to a safe and satisfactory position as whomever they are playing will run all over the place leaving them unable to challenge leaving them to do anything... Dwarfs only have one play style and cannot do anything else.

So they are only just edging out above the Skaven, personally I have been at tournaments where the Flings won the event entirely, so it actually depends on how the person is running the team and less so about the skills they start with.
Nah, concessions cant be punished, i do it to save my team from basher/fouling teams who want to simply kill your players, you should get a reward for making the enemy team concede
Don't think of it like black and white, think of it like a sliding scale. We need to remove the 'meh, I cba' games.
I hope Dwarfs will be nerf by get AG 4+ or remove Tackle from starting skill.
Dwarves seem so overpowered to me in this infinite ladder (only very new / bad coaches can lose often with them) that i really feel like conceding upfront everytime i see them. I'm an old BB coach but this team annoys me more and more,up to the point i really hate them now. Any coach with average skill will just destroys almost every team they encounter, especially when they get access to the stupidly overpowered deathroller (which in BB 2020 can stay for the whole game with a bribe and a bit of luck...).
Just see a few tournament results to see how good they are. Also, they are very strong at TV 1000 and then become quickly stupidly powerful all the way to the end. Only very high TV Chaos / Nurgle teams can beat them. It's just stupid in my opinion. They have no nemesis teams except at very high TV. No other team can say that.
I largely dont disagree with you, they are strong as a team, dont die and at the right team value range, after enough games, are a nightmare to deal with.
We need redraft to remove that option OR you simply limit the number of games a team can play
can someone tell me what reason blackorcs have to exist? they are so bad compared to normal orcs.
i started with black orcs and now revisited bb3 with lizardmen and tehyr like 10 times better and orcs are better to begin with what is the deal with black orcs am i missing something?
Black orcs are a fouling team. They fill the controlly, grabby, foully space
Are they bad, sure. Are they effective in the right hands or vs people who dont understand, yes
