I believe that is an ocean liner, not a cruise ship. There is a big difference, ya know! Also, if i could get all of the JEP mini ships, but functional and already restored and repaired, that would be AWESOME.

I wholly agree. The hours of joy this toy must have brought to its original owner are incalculable. Now we seem to live in a digital age where toys like this are a lost art. Its a loss.
My grandpa had one of these in the 1950s. He gave it to me but I lost it in the sea. This josseled a bunch of memories and I'm sure the ship is resting like Titanic near Constanta.

Just for more context: "The JeP toy company was originally founded in Paris, France in 1899, and became known as JeP in 1929, after having merged with 2 other toy companies. Their toys (cars, trucks, boats, and airplanes) were very ornate, and complex (e.g. open and close doors), and were modelled after the famous "real" cars of the time. These included of course the French cars such as Delage, Renault, and Talbot, as well as Rolls-Royce and Hispano Suiza. The company eventually closed in 1965, but the name lives on, having been purchased buy the company." Jouet Montblanc. (Google, of course!)
When the boat was first shown, I thought that the JEP logo/winding key was a radar reflector. Of course those were not available for civilian use until about the late-1940s, some years after this toy was manufactured.
Next time please show what you did to restore the clockwork motor please. Working on these very delicate tin toys takes restraint - you cannot repair everything on a toy this fragile. Great work!

Ship looks cute, it looks and reminds me of the 1st Queen Mary Ocean Liner thats in Long Beach California.
Tinplate clockwork boats are great. Had a couple as a child half a century ago but do not now. To me they even count as a form of art.
