We can also prove the smaller triangles to similar to the bigger one by Theorem 6.7 that says If a perpendicular drawn form the right angle of a right angled triangle to the hypotenuse then the line will divide the triangle to 2 similar triangles to each other and to the bigger triangle !! (This may cover you deducted marks by any mistake from this question)
