The pre-battle theme for an unlikely trio of protagonists: Cirno, Meiling, and Sanae. ...In this energetic, anime-inspired track, they debate over the identity of a mysterious figure called Hisoutensoku. Can our heroes chase down and defeat the grand enigma? Stay tuned to find out! (Or just play the funny fighting game, 12.3.)
This one is packed with over-the-top silly personality, and I had a lot of fun doing all three characters' voices. Cirno is always a big fave. And it must be fate that the strongest fairy would help this channel make a comeback on her special day! Happy 9/9, everyone!

@@Soviet00000 Well, it does seem that they all saw Hisoutensoku, but not only they thought that it was something else, but in their journey: Cirno got confused with Alice's doll (a normal doll that became giant throug magic), Meiling fell asleep and Sanae got to actually see hisoutensoku, wich was more like a hot air balloon puppet
cirno saying 'whatever lady' when sanae is being obscure and long-winded is my new choice religion

the way meiling repeats "wake up?" in that startled tone at 1:25 is so incredibly well delivered i always have to pause the son to laugh
It's the tiniest detail, but I am really satisfied that you got Meiling's spelling and pronunciation of "qi" correct for Chinese.

God, you've outdone yourself. This might be one of my favorite lyrics you've made so far! It feels like a trio of Japanese idols singing, but in the coolest, most fantastical way possible.
I think this makes Cirno the character that has sung the most? She has sung in her theme, in faily wars, and now here too
Another excellent cover! You made this one quite entertaining, and I especially loved the little references to the true nature of the enemies that the characters ended up fighting. I think Meiling's part is my favorite overall; the lyrics are really fun and the voice is great! The whole cover really suits the anime-like feel of the original piece, and I'd say this one's my favorite out of any other lyricized version of the piece that I've seen.

Sanae and Cirno were already my favourite characters, and now you've added Meiling to that list! I love how personalised you made each verse; though could you explain what the 'Disaster' Meiling was referencing was?
Thank you!~ In Meiling's Hisoutensoku route, she is having a dream (based on a manga she was reading before falling asleep) where Gensokyo is being threatened by the Chinese god of Calamity, Taisui Xingjun. Standing guard at her gate, she is confronted by a bunch of familiar characters (like Reimu and Marisa) who are acting suspiciously unlike themselves, who turn out to be the god's demonic servants in disguise. The Giant Catfish that she faces as the final boss is the highest-ranking avatar of this Calamity god. (The disaster that the god intends to cause isn't really specified, just causing disasters in general is what it does, though earthquakes are implied because that's what the catfish is mythologically associated with.) Her funny dramatization of the whole situation, like a hammy action protagonist, offered my favorite Meiling characterization out of canon and made me like her a bunch more than I did from EoSD, so I'm glad you liked it too!

After having listened like 50 times to this song, I suddenly realize that when listening with headphones the sound is spatialized, with Sanae on the left, Cirno in the middle and Hong Meiling on the right, just as in the video. It's so satisfying.

Sorry for the late reply, but thank you so much!! It means a lot! ^^ For the record, I do cheat by altering pitch artificially. But the enunciation still has to be unique, and I had a lot of fun with this trio in particular. Since the expression of "character" is the most important thing to me in these lyrics, I really like being able to give them all a special sort of life.

Aww, too bad you didn't use the actual "Karaoke" version of the song! It's made specifically for karaoke, and has a cool guitar solo.
Maybe I could have managed to make it work with some editing, but the reason I didn't use the karaoke version was because, with its structure, there wouldn't have been three parallel parts for each character to star in (Sanae's verse is kind of replaced by the guitar solo). You're right though; it would have felt satisfying! Sorry about that!
