Not sure what rubbers are in the UK but here in the US they condoms are called rubbers. The more you talked about scented the more I laughed. I collected odd things as a child, pens and pencils, little note pads, friendship bracelets. Oh your new kits! Those colors!! Hugs...

I agree. When I was younger shopping was fun and something I did often. It doesn't hold that same magic now and feels like a chore to me. Cute clothes were big on my list but not anymore. Loved all the new papers and will have to do a shop for those...no fitting rooms , crowds or disappointment 😁 Vicki
Great pockets! Love the peach colour. Remember the 80’s neon colours? My daughter had neon socks and wore a different colour on each foot 😆. As to the subject of collecting; buttons, sea glass, depression glass, made in Japan Toby Jugs, paper, vintage tablecloths, green glass vases, stamps, vintage Christmas angels...need I say more? I was born in 81 and I was obsessed with Lisa frank stationary. To this day I’m drawn to bright/neon colors and I love anything paper related lol I loved my eraser collection also🤗❤️
I loved the novelty rubbers as a kid ....especially the scented ones. I also remember the scented dolls I think they were called strawberry short cake? 💕😊 my dad was a collector......if you can think of it ...he collected it..lol......mugs, badges, blue things, paper weights.....the list goes on.

Your daughter is so patient! Smart thinking to just cut off the top when the glued page won't slide in - I hate doing that part. Love the SMELL THE ROSES and FLOWER PRESS papers and picked up a few extra while I was there. My daughter is your age and she loved those smelly stickers. Speaking of hoarding, my granddaughter loves journals although she never writes in them; she just likes to have them to flip through so I make her about one small one a month, just to have. She also loves pockets so whenever you show us a new one, she needs a new journal. Thanks for that. p.s. I love your Vintage Tanners papers.

This double pocket is so cute. I did see DeeDee make one too. I'm wondering why you don't glue the book pages into the ends before you glue the middle seam then you wouldn't have to fight getting a glue-y insert in? Just a thought. TFS🤗

These are great pockets. I think I’ve seen similar ones but the corners are folded outside, sort of look like a collar. Cute when the papers are contrasting. TFS. My grandsons used to collect Pokémon cards I think.

Love your work and your channel from Kansas, USA. Just a thought, the book page pieces for the inside back could be glued in place before you seal the long center. That way you won't have to slide the gluey papers in a tight spot.

Haha I can't believe you still have your rubbers. Girls now seem to collect those lol doll things. Remember when we all had fridges covered in magnets. I went to the chemist yesterday and our shopping was rammed there was a queue to the charity shop 🤔 I grabbed my meds and went home. I'd definitely leave it till the children have gone back
I think I still have them, although I can't be sure, I certainly haven't seen them for a long time, so I might not. Yes some places are certainly busy, I saw some awful queues on the news yesterday. I have managed to go into a couple of shops, which weren't too busy, it was so nice to have a browse around I must admit x
well, I enjoyed this project, and did make some while watching on my tv, but had to get on my computer to leave a comment; you can make this easier on yourself by adding the book page BEFORE gluing the center down.

I grew up in the 80s as well. In my tweens and teens, I remember all the "cheap" earrings, my huge sticker collection, including the scratch-n-sniff ones which were my favorites. I also collected watches and stationary. Guess thats how I started my paper fetish ;-) Love these pockets too!

Lovely pockets, another for my ideas book! I'm thinking they could also go on t the side of the page too. Oh I can't wear my rings either, I used to have them on every finger but I'm probably a little old for that now anyway lol I was a teenager in the 80's and remember the mad earrings lol I had little blue skeletons and when they fell to bits I hung the heads off giant loops😂. Oh yeah, scratch and sniff stickers! We collected scented erasers too lol I'd forgotten about those! I think my kids all collect computer games! I'm so sick of trying to buy clothes online but happy to buy everything else there 💖

Yeah a chocolate scented rubber is a mile cheaper than a game😂 . I saw on TH-cam that there was a queue the length of 3 long streets just to get into Primark! Madness! I might make do with supermarket leggings and vest tops for now 😆. Good for you to be out and about though, I bet it felt odd! 💖

Love these double pockets. They are awesome!! I started making my own ear rings in about 2009. At first I could wear the silver plate ear wires, but when the plate wore off my ear holes would get so sore. I cannot wear anything with nickel and now I can only wear Stirling or stainless steel. Every other type of wire makes my ears sore in a couple of hours !! Today kids collect pokemon cards. Also minecraft cards. Some collect baseball and hockey cards Love the French blue paper. Its awesome !!! Have you thought of putting the book page papers into the ends before you glue the middle seam. I just think it would be much easier to do it prior to glueing the centers !!
Oh you’re so clever making your own earrings. It would be much too fiddly for me. Yes, you’re right, they do collect pokemon cards, and anything minecraft, I hadn’t thought of that. I should have glued the paper in on the inside before assembling, it would have been easier! Lol x

I loved the novelty rubbers as a kid ....especially the scented ones. I also remember the scented dolls I think they were called strawberry short cake? 💕😊 my dad was a collector......if you can think of it ...he collected it..lol......mugs, badges, blue things, paper weights.....the list goes on.

Your daughter is so patient! Smart thinking to just cut off the top when the glued page won't slide in - I hate doing that part. Love the SMELL THE ROSES and FLOWER PRESS papers and picked up a few extra while I was there. My daughter is your age and she loved those smelly stickers. Speaking of hoarding, my granddaughter loves journals although she never writes in them; she just likes to have them to flip through so I make her about one small one a month, just to have. She also loves pockets so whenever you show us a new one, she needs a new journal. Thanks for that. p.s. I love your Vintage Tanners papers.

This double pocket is so cute. I did see DeeDee make one too. I'm wondering why you don't glue the book pages into the ends before you glue the middle seam then you wouldn't have to fight getting a glue-y insert in? Just a thought. TFS🤗
They’re great aren’t they? I have no idea why I find myself inserting the inner piece after assembling the pocket, but yes probably way more sensible to glue it in first, lol x

These are great pockets. I think I’ve seen similar ones but the corners are folded outside, sort of look like a collar. Cute when the papers are contrasting. TFS. My grandsons used to collect Pokémon cards I think.

Love the pockets but also love the new papers which are sumptuous. Love the ring as well. I love rings and jewellery but just wear both wedding rings. I keep mentioning that I love rings but hubby hasn’t taken the hint!

I grew up in the 80's also, I remember all those things you mentioned. But weren't the fashions awesome too lol still love all that 80's music!! That is still the best, I still listen to that music and my hubby makes fun of me. Oh and the hair styles LOL 80's hair!!

Love your work and your channel from Kansas, USA. Just a thought, the book page pieces for the inside back could be glued in place before you seal the long center. That way you won't have to slide the gluey papers in a tight spot.

I went to the chemist yesterday and our shopping was rammed there was a queue to the charity shop 🤔 I grabbed my meds and went home. I'd definitely leave it till the children have gone back

Yes some places are certainly busy, I saw some awful queues on the news yesterday. I have managed to go into a couple of shops, which weren't too busy, it was so nice to have a browse around I must admit x
well, I enjoyed this project, and did make some while watching on my tv, but had to get on my computer to leave a comment; you can make this easier on yourself by adding the book page BEFORE gluing the center down.

I grew up in the 80s as well. In my tweens and teens,
I remember all the "cheap" earrings, my huge sticker collection, including the scratch-n-sniff ones which were my favorites. I also collected watches and stationary. Guess thats how I started my paper fetish ;-) Love these pockets too!

Lovely pockets, another for my ideas book! I'm thinking they could also go on t the side of the page too. Oh I can't wear my rings either, I used to have them on every finger but I'm probably a little old for that now anyway lol I was a teenager in the 80's and remember the mad earrings lol I had little blue skeletons and when they fell to bits I hung the heads off giant loops😂. Yeah a chocolate scented rubber is a mile cheaper than a game😂 . I saw on TH-cam that there was a queue the length of 3 long streets just to get into Primark! Madness! I might make do with supermarket leggings and vest tops for now 😆. Good for you to be out and about though, I bet it felt odd! 💖
Do you make your own rings? Would love to know. I bought some blank ring shanks to make some out of old jewelry...your such a wonderful artist with paper, I come home from working in the ER and relax watching your crafting---such a delight. Thank you again for all you do!:)x

I started making my own ear rings in about 2009. At first I could wear the silver plate ear wires, but when the plate wore off my ear holes would get so sore. I cannot wear anything with nickel and now I can only wear Stirling or stainless steel. Every other type of wire makes my ears sore in a couple of hours !!
Today kids collect pokemon cards. Also minecraft cards. Some collect baseball and hockey cards
