Bluetooth can not play hi-res audio. If you play lossless over bluetooth. It will just down-sample it.
To get proper lossless audio output from am iphone. You will need a lightening to usb dongle, an external dac, then a good pair of headphones ofcourse.

A wired headphone is a must to listen to hi-res.
BLUETOOTH CANNOT TRANSMIT HI-RES AUDIO. So all those 20k, 40k apple earpods or earpods pro max are useless for listening to apple lossless.

@@rahulwave1998 yahhh i have LDAC supported earphone they do there job well but that is okay if its FLAC file (900-990kbps) otherwise WAV files are near about 1400kbps so you will still loose some quality

i have tried lossless and dolby atmos on my xs max with airpods 2 as well as with apple lightning port headphones, i dont hear any difference 😟

Well Bluetooth Devices don't support Lossless format Because they are wireless transitive Waves communicating so even bluetooth 5.2 can't do Lossless.

yes, you also need digital to analog convertor unless its MacBook Pro 14 or 16 2021. these new MacBooks support high impedance headphone and doesn't require a convertor

You need to have a subscription for Apple Music if you want to experience Spatial Audio. If you are subscribed to Apple Music, go to Settings --> Music --> Turn on Dolby Atmos

Every smartphone comes with a DAC. You can play 24bit/48Khz using the internal DAC. Some smartphones (like LG V60) can even bypass Android restrictions and play more than 24bit/48Khz. Otherwise, you need an external DAC. However, keep in mind that Apple Music on Android cannot bypass Android's audio mixing so even if you attach a costly external DAC, Apple Music will still downscale the songs to 24bit/48Khz.

If you are subscribed to Apple Music and have at least iOS 14.6 installed on your iPhone, then yes Spatial Audio will work on your iPhone X with AirPods 2.
Just go to Settings --> Music --> Dolby Atmos and set it to Always On.

Why does apple music sounds better on my samsung?
Lossless audio will not work in any iPhone post iPhone 6s/ iPhone 6s Pro, because there is no headphone jack and using the dongle with newer devices will definitely result in loss of quality because it's being converted from digital to analog and their bluetooth doesn't support lossless bluetooth like Qualcomm AptX HD or Sony LDAC, but yes in MacBook and the latest iPod touch (2019) it will work
You can listen to lossless audio on iphone using external USB dac amp and hires supported headphones

Any wired earphones. For Bluetooth, get the LDAC codec one.

For Spatial Audio, you can feel the difference if you're using high-end headphones. But if you're using headphones that are cheap or don't have good drivers, then you won't feel any difference.
I feel the difference for lossless in my AirPods Pro 2nd Gen… I must say… well done apple

Guys this man doesn't has any knowledge. All he said in this video is false. You can listen lossless music even on android devices. But it can be experienced only through WIRED earphones. But to listen HIRES lossless u should have DAC that supports 24bit and 192Khz. I myself am listening to LOSSLESS audio on my ANDROID device using APPLE MUSIC app because my phone has 3.5mm JACK.
Apple Music (on Android) uses Android's proprietary audio mixing which is limited to 24bit/48Khz. Even if you connect an external DAC, it won't bypass Android limitations. Only Tidal can bypass as they use their own audio drivers.

You can still listen lossless though
Anything above 16bit/24Khz is lossless. The internal DAC on Android and Apple devices support upto 24bit/48Khz. Some Android devices such as LG V60 can even bypass Android's audio mixing and unlock more than 48Khz.
