I much prefer your detailed and in depth videos versus a time lapse. I am just getting started with 12 valves and I have a lot to learn. I look forward to your video covering the adjustable timing gear and rebuilding injectors. Those are items that intimidate me.
Thank you for your video series. I have been considering on doing the head gaskets on my LLY myself but had never done anything that in depth. Your video series has given me the confidence to make the attempt.
Rob I think you do an awesome job on your videos keep up the great work and would definitely be looking forward to seeing you come out with some stickers
Your videos are awesome!! I definitely think tool giveaways are great because is diesel guys can use the tools to mod our trucks and anything else really they’re super versatile! Whereas if you do parts giveaways then maybe whoever wins already has that part or doesn’t want that part etc etc it’s a little more specific. I love your videos and I’m subbed I also send your videos to people as well! Keep up the awesome work!
This style of video is good I do like the p-pump 12v and i like the other video you did on the p-pump 24 from 98.5 to 02 on every thing to p-pump swap a 2nd gen 24v Cummins
Hey Rob, really enjoyed watching this video. You seem real sensitive about the length of your videos but I had no problem at all at 27 minutes and your content is always great and I don't care how long your videos are I'm going to watch them! Also I definitely prefer this method of the videos with you showing all the details. Even was thinking to myself as you were taking all those head bolts out that I need to get me an electric impact wrench very impressed that you were able to get all of those head bolts out on one battery charge. Thanks for all you do for us, definitely looking forward to this alternative fuel build.
ya the battery powered stuff is a great, ya seems like most guys dont watch them, but i think i am going to start doing more longer video's in the build stuff
This is great as I have a 95 with 218 k I think or close miles on it . I have thought I change the exhaust manifold as I heard of them damaging the head .. May be a good towing turbo . I was watching a video of a shop that claimed that timing can give you xx amount and other mods but I can say it helped my mileage a lot . Look forward to this video and what you do to this engine
Hey building a tow pig. On a 01. What are your thoughts on the 6.7 turbo kit. Have a fass, 4” exhaust,50 horsepower injectors, ram intake, and cold air intake. Love the in depth vids old and new keep it up.
Good morning Rob, hey, I was just wondering if you happen to know the part number for the lock nut that goes on the low idle set screw or whatever it’s called? For the life of me I can’t seem to find it on the Internet all I can find is how to adjust it and what type it is the guy who previously owned my truck must’ve tried to adjust it but rounded off the nut so when I went to try to adjust it yesterday, it was damn near impossible without the wrench slipping off the nut so I might need to put a new note on it unless you’ve got any suggestions on how to do it without cut without pulling the nut off if you can give me a comment back on what the part number was or is sorry for the locknut by to be appreciated or if you even have some yourself maybe I’ll come buy it off you I have a Calgary.
Which brand of oil cooler gasket would you reccomend? I read somewhere that they vary in quality. Bought a mahle full engine kit for 89-98 and it came with a 97-98 gasket. go figure.
What I would do if I was you are I would take and take all your valves out check your seats and I would do a little bit of bowl work open the bowls up a little bit that promotes water flow and I check the short side radius is a little bit and gasket match the exhaust ports to the manifold and then Gasket match The manifold to the turbo and you’ll pick up a lot of power there or modest amount of power anyway doing good all right this is six in a row jim From Kennerdell Pennsylvania😊
I need more practical instruction. I have a 96 12v and need to change the tappet cover. There are tons of video's but none that go step by step. Take it apart and putting it back together running.
Cutter up rob is the man what a role model
so glad i found your channel
As a semi retired OTR fleet mechanic I like tgis style video. Awesome job! Thanks for sharing

Just commenting to add an extra comment. Wish you were here in the states!

I’m in process of a fummins build 94 12 valve . I enjoy your videos big help thanks
Ur channel is definitely underrated, good videos for us diesel guys lol
Great videos covering maybe the greatest engine ever made the 12v p-pump. You make working on them seem simple.
Well I have been working on them for a lot of years now so it is pretty easy. That said it is easy to all the stuff I do
Thanks for posting, I'll be doing some of this soon on my '95 as well. I like the more budget content, not too interested in the high hp stuff.
Great timing for this series. Looking forward to the build for a designed towing setup.
Thanks for sharing.

I am not a fan of the vgt myself. To many issues. A turbo/s sized right work very well

it should jusy be a m6 1.0 nut the striped part hard to tell i would try small vice grips myself
For a dedicated tow rig what gears would you go with? About a 35” tire
Depends on a few things. I will do a video
Is it worthwhile to balance the crank and pistons and rods ?
Depends what your doing. For most of these no. But never hurts

cooler right now is what you cam get ,
How much do you charge to clean, surface, and o ring a 12v head?
770 plus tax
Wash / pressure test / vac test / surface/ oring.
100 percent subbed
What head gasket do u recommend?
What about interstate McBee?
mahle or cummins is what i use but mcbee are ok as well
@@CUTTERUPROB
Mahle is a long wait right now
Thanks for the reply tho 👍
