This is stellar! This piece is every chorister's delight as some way or the other, one would have sung or came across this glorious number. Weldone with the organ, it gave it a rather empire feel which was very deserving.
Grew up loving this work… it’s a shame until now I’ve not performed it. This was the single piece that attracted me to choral music. In fact I must perform this with the earliest opportunity
I truly like and appreciate the presentation. But I have one serious problem which I'll share starting with two questions: Why was it necessary to focus the camera during the entire recording on the organist alone? Why is it that your viewing audience was deprived of seeing the choir -- which sang beautifully? I understand the need to highlight the talent of the organist -- nothing wrong with that -- but I think it is a discourtesy to the other persons that make up the entire performance to keep the camera focused on one individual. At the end of the day, the performance is, or should be, about the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It certainly should not then be the focus of one individual. Finally, please know that I am not making this comment as a criticism, but merely to stimulate the thought process of anyone who reads this, in particular persons responsible for producing such videos. May the Almighty God continue to bless you all.
Thank you Morris for the honest comment and views. It was a case of limited resources to do a full video covering the whole participants. However your points are duly noted and improvements will be made in subsequent videos.
These videos and the channel, I believe are instrument- focused, I, e., Organ music and Organ playing! The videos thus provides an essential focus on the instrument for educational and recreational purposes. The main attraction for viewers here should be the renditions offered here from the perspective of the Organ as a wonderous and technical instrument as well as the observational viewpoint offerred the viewer with regards the Organist's performance, style of play and musical interpretation of each musical piece rendered. That to me is the real benefit and objective of this channel, not necessarily publicity of the Church or evangelism. If it is intended that the video should cover the entire service performance of the choir, then I think your comments will be in order, but in this instance, it would have been distracting from the Organ renditioning. So let's bear in mind, that this Channel (in my considered opinion), is about Organ music and performance! My humble take. Keep up the good work Tonight.
Ok I see this point sir but I feel most often and historically the focus is mostly on the choirs and performers. While as I singer, I appreciate this, I find that mostly we ignore accompanists and instrumentals in showcasing performances. It’s fresh to me, to once in a while get a view from the Organ and what the Organ accompanist is doing while the performance is ongoing…🙏
I am so proud Africa is holding fast to the Christian traditions!
Beautiful singing for the Lord,,,, how excellent is his kindness
Bro Tobi, God bless you sir
