Hey! I am the Gio you mentioned! Just want to give a huge shout-out and thank you for using the interview in your review! (does that make me a scholarly source??) Just want to say first off this was an excellent review. It's so easy to take the show and present it as some "cringe bad tv show with bad animation" (like many have) but you did a great job analyzing the structure, characters, lore and stories of the show, and despite some issues, what makes it great.
I'm so honored to have my interview used, my intention with it was to get the story of how much of a struggle it was to take it from pilot to series out there more, and I'm glad I was able to accomplish that in a way. Can't wait for part 2!
Hey Gio! Wow, I can't believe you actually watched my review. I'm even happier that you liked it ha. Yeah, "Monster by Mistake" is definitely better and more interesting than it seems. There's a suprising amount to unpack when you look beneath the surface.
Thanks again for the interview, it really helped me out and provided me with tons of cool info on the show's development and history. You're a scholarly source if you ask me ha.
I don't have a specific release date set, and I'm a bit busy with some other stuff at the moment, but Part 2 should be coming out sometime in the first half of 2023.
Holy shit this did exist! I have vague memories of this airing here with a spanish dub and ever since I saw it at the wee old age of 7 or 8 I thought I had imagined it D:
