Have no idea why Ste & James are a couple now (2022-23) when the characters clearly only have negative hostile antipathic chemistry, as shown in this storyline. And how they can be together knowing that the man they both cared for is gone...baffling.
I haven't even given them a chance, I just can't accept the idea of this pairing. It was the same for me with Ste and John Paul. Even if this is just a soap, and lot of things here don't make any sense, I just can't get my head around the idea that you could fall for someone who you have absolutely hated for so long. You just don't change your mind about someone like that. It is even worse here when Harry clearly was the one for both of them, I'd rather shoot my brain out than get together with someone who 'stole' my bf from me.
@@MeeriK-l8c yes exactly! You get it. It's beyond implausible (which sometimes soaps can pull off) and into the territory of wtf. It's also poor character writing more generally, and lowkey kind of homophobic, suggesting that every gay or bi person has to pair off or be sexually/romantically attracted to one another. Gay people are complex like any other person, and create all different types of bonds, some negative or more like enemies than friends. Just because you're same-sex attracted, doesn't mean you desire or must have intimacy with anyone else who's same-sex attracted as well.
"He's even older than you are." But wasn't Ste only around 27-28 at the time? I get it's a 10-year age gap with Harry, and ideally a man pushing 30 wouldn't date anyone younger than 20 (the 'Half your Age plus 7' Rule), but it's still not as extreme as Harry coupling up with James, a man into his 40s(?). And -30 is still a rather young age; Ste only seems older because he has kids, and he's been through a lot.
@@petermukasa3093 it's more of an ethical consideration/guideline than a hard 'rule', I suppose, but it is a common piece of advice. You may not have heard of it, that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
I laughed so much when James dropped the spoon and got Harry to get it so he can check him out 😂😂😂❤
Greg is so talented! 💙

There is NO such thing as "half your age plus 7 rule" lol
