Taker and Yokozuna as a kid were my favorites as an adult Ultimate warrior was pure 🔥. And i saw that documentary on Warrior, i did not see it as a hit piece, i saw a dude who did it all his way, good or bad he did it how he wanted! The warriors blood runs through my veins forever ♾️

that no good Million Dollar Man bought these people, only to have a lot of them vanish soon thereafter. Once he left the WWF, Tatanka was done...he should have never given Ted his price.
In fairness they may have felt that he wasn't moving forward as a face and that a change was due. A good start I guess, he pinned Lex Luger at Summerslam '94 en route to turning heel, but yeah he stalled as a heel too. Some have suggested he should have won the IC belt from Shawn at WM9, the match was a push of sorts for Tatanka as he got to hit Shawn with his finisher (only for Shawn to be DQ'ed for shoving the ref earlier...or was it a countout?), but I think Jim Ross said it didn't really help Tatanka at all and that he should have won the belt.
@impossiblescissors Yeah a kind of "I realized I needed to get ruthless to get ahead!" he wins the belt from Razor Ramon with help from DiBiase's MDC, Jeff Jarrett's IC push is delayed. Why did Shawn need to win the IC belt in '95 anyhow?
Tatanka did remind me of Warrior but yes their characters were completely different. Tatanka should have won the Intercontinental title from Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 9.
Me too! But as you say they were too different for Tatanka to back off from his gimmick. It's an Indian warrior gimmick, obviously not picked randomly but appropriate for an actual Indian, so it would be silly to back up from the fringed boots and postures of prayer to the heavens for strength
When I was a dumb 16 year old and asked him for an interview at an indie show, he couldn't have been nicer. I asked him about the mansion that WWF Magazine pictured him at during his heel run. I'm still not sure if he was working me when he said it was his house.
Tatanka was also known for having a huge hog. So huge in fact, the boys in the locker room demanded a "hog off" with Virgil. Supposedly Virgil was the one who backed down..
tatanka was always one of my all time favorites. have native american blood, my great grandmother was born and raised on the reservation so I always felt a connection to tatanka its great to see he aged into a wise elder
His take on wrestling schools could almost be used as a commercial for Al Snows Wrestling Academy. I love to hear him talk about the psychology behind the smallest and most basic things. I wish more wrestlers today could've taken notes on that. It is great to see that Tatanka seems to be doing well. He seems like a truly nice and humble person. 🤩
Chris is such a nice guy, we were waiting for an elevator at a promo event and he struck up conversation with me and was super nice that introduced himself as his real self while talking to me and not his character, real deal dude!
GREAT guy. Still in amazing shape, super nice to fans and his sons are genetic freaks and already winning medals for their age in wrestling. If they want they’ll be Olympic caliber wrestlers one day maybe WWE champs. Look them up. Jeremiah Chavis is a young beast. Just raw talent and muscle.
Whenever I see Tatanka, I think of the fact that I cried when he lost his undefeated streak to Ludvig Borga. A tear or two coming out, while looking to the side, trying to hold it in, after walking to my room.
My God, that guy was a waste. Could think of better people he should've lost it too. Warrior might've been more worthy among others (of course he was gone by then)
