Just like with the knife, the person with the medallion loses themself to the power. Unlike the knife, which fills the blank with mindless rage, the medallion fills it with divine knowledge, which is why Johnson believed he was God.

What I don’t understand is, if that guy just assumed he was God because he could suddenly heal people, how did he recognize Lucifer as being the real Lucifer and also called him Samiel, and why did he have no memory from the time he put the belt on until it was taken off of him? If he was just some guy who assumed he must be God because he could suddenly heal people, then he would remember everything, right?
I think the belt had the knowledge of God. But Johnson was a kind person before he found it, so he was more warm and outwardly compassionate than the actual God. So basically,, Johnson had the knowledge of God, but the personality of himself. Glad you’re starting to feel a little better. Please try and be kind to yourself as you recover.

i think if i remember right the belt was like the will of god in a way but i might me wrong,
isn't sad how our dream balloons are popped like soap bubbles?

The man was given gods memory and after his belt was gone he lost all memory after the belt
