Yeah... I really wish they followed Steve's advice. Especially since it's being filmed, I would of liked people to mute their mic until it was their turn to talk. Lot's of coughing, mic moving, and even some kinda inconsiderate yawning.
At first that is how I took it as someone who might have been correcting an error but when asked by another person If it was really necessary to correct me he was rude when he said yes he did. This led me to believe that his intensions where not to be helpful. Like I said previously. Doesn't bother me much.Let him or anyone else troll on.
You know what, it is commonly believed that people from English speaking countries do not know any other languages, but here there is a perfect example that people who actually can speak a lot of different languages are from those countries. I don't know where Robert is from but except for Luca all of them are from UK, USA or Canada
Traves T - What you say about Europe is certainly applicable to places like Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and the Scandinavian countries. It strikes me as less true about France, which is far less multilingual than other European countries.
Anki aids spaced-repetition. Mark constructions that were difficult in the first encounter and then make/review the cards for it; the process is not unlike Steve's lingqs just not automated. I use flashcards primarily for chemistry, not languages however. Flash cards are only ever as good as how you use them and what you put on them. Use words to help with your spelling, if it doesn't help with new vocabulary. Use sentences to learn unusual order/syntax, not for memorising phrases.
how does one learn of these events before they take place so that one can actually participate in them - I myself am just this very day finding this youtube presentation and that is many months after it actually occurred, has anyone a suggestion?
Classic old school language chat. Love it.
Immersion, Immersion, Immersion. Languages are for people, so go find the people and SPEAK and LISTEN.
