Regarding the Kathy Reichs books - I feel like I remember someone saying “Kathy Reichs is a real life anthropologist who writes about Temperance Brennan in her spare time, and in the show Temperance Brennan is an anthropologist who writes about Kathy Reichs in her spare time” Lovely bones was such a haunting book. I read it so many years ago but think about it all the time.
