The key for this fight is the raven, i upgraded him tell Level 4 and he helped me such much in phase 3. But your guide also helped alot, thanks mate, will keep watchin your guides !
Something to note: you can just barely dodge through the cyclones. Be careful if you choose to do it though; if you are off by even a little, you will take a lot of damage.

Great breakdown of the moves and phases, the loadout I personally found made this fight super easy was hammer bro on main attack, raven for passive damage and the headless knight to counter her teleporting melee attack. The counter timing is really easy, you just pop it as soon as she appears and it instantly breaks her posture so you get a free melee attack as well.
Either this was perfect rng for the creator, or they've patched this boss. I've not even once had this boss have consistant patterns like this video shows.... she's also much.much faster
Awesome step by step guide. It's all about being patient and not rushing it as you have shown. I did use the ranged bird attack on the third phase to quickly end the fight. I activated it on the 2nd phase but the phase ended too quickly and I got clobbered on the 3rd phase.
The key is just breaking down the boss encounter into smaller bits. Try and focus on the tiny details that telegraph the attack she is going to use next, and NEVER get greedy. Patience is the key. You can do this!

I think her 3rd phase is actually the easiest phase once you understand how she works because she becomes so predictable. Not saying the other phases are difficult but it's true that it can be easy the get caught by the whirlwind, or dodge into it, during the second phase, or get hit by other attacks if you stay in the corner a lot. I came across this video only by a chance, and even though I didn't personally need it (I've already cleared the game a long ago), I'll admit you did a good job at the boss break down and explaining it calmly. I'm sure this will prove to be helpful to those who are struggling with her fight. Good job!
In the opening sequence she is staying high up in the air for you.. but for me she is dropping lower, then going mid level etc... in fact, overall, she is acting very different in your video to how she behaves/attacks for me which makes this guide mostly useless to me unfortunately 😥
I think they did a new patch where her movements are more random 😢😢 But just pay attention to her cues before an attack and in phase 3 don't attack until after her tentacle attack. In between just dodge left and right without staying in one place for a second until you get that opening
The difficulty spikes of this game are disgusting, I really dislike gameplay designs like these. Ori has some of that as well, the traversal and combat is simple enough, then a super hard chase sequence happens out of nowhere smh
@@BryInThai Sure, but every boss will have their three "stages" regardless. And the difficult spikes yet again in the last stage. I really didn't like it, the traversal and overall combat is one thing (and it's fair balanced), the game becomes something else entirely in the boss fights

It’s quarters. She changes attack pattern every 25% like Nightmare King Grimm from Hollow Knight, that she is obviously inspired by. The raven and the poison cloud could come in handy. For the big knight’s slow strike she’s too fast I guess, but it does a lot of dmg IF it hits. Though it exposes you to attacks too much. Wind could maybe hit her too but that’s not really worth it I guess. This video helps a lot but I really, really don’t like flying shooting guys. She’s not as hellish as NKG, but still quite a bit.
Ok, that was a lot easier than NKG. Still a pretty difficult fight tho. Use Raven for the cyclone stage and beyond. Preferably lvl 3+. THE QUICKEST & EASIEST WAY TO WIN: USE GELROD INSTEAD OF HITTING HER 3x. I’ve got the knight on lvl 3, which does guaranteed 230 dmg per hit at lvl 29. Whereas black knight hits on the floor are somewhere between 80-110 and in the air more like 40-70 - ymmv, but the relations are probably similar throughout the levels. Clearly Gelrod does more dmg a lot faster. He also has a much bigger range, making it unlikely to miss. If she’s further away, she often dodges the 3rd sword hit (or you don’t even get close fast enough) then could move in your direction and slam into you, which you can’t predict. Less likely w Gelrod, you can stay on the floor a lot of the time. Besides, she still takes dmg if she teleports while Geldrod hits her. Gelrod’s also likely to knock her down multiple times and if that happens you get 1-2 extra hits with no risk w 170dmg. Same if you’re sometimes fast & close enough to hit her another time while she’s up. Quite possible to get 2-3 hits while she’s busy w her cyclone. But be careful not to lean into it. After the root attack, two hits with the knight are quite easy to get in bc she’s slower in that phase. Shortens the fight significantly and makes it A LOT easier. Just don’t get too greedy and watch out that you don’t miss one of the single projectiles during his large attack animation.
For some reason Eleine has given me the most trouble despite knowing her attack patterns and everything. The amount of times I jumped through that water to the elevator is frankly embarrassing. It's a good job nobody was watching 😂😂😂. When I beat her I screamed out like I had just beat a Dark Souls end boss. I have no idea why she was my kryptonite, just one of those things I suppose.
The direction of the melee seems random. Half the time I dodge into it instead of away. Is there a trick to that? The direction she's facing before the teleport doesn't seem to determine it.
Is there a link between this game and Salt and Sanctuary? Either in Lore or the developers themselves? This boss is very similar to the Witch of the Lake boss from SnS.
I've been playing souls likes since Dark Souls 1 came out. I've platinum every Myazaki game and literally have a Dark Souls and Bloodborne tattoo. Huge fan of metroidvania's as well. For some reason this boss just really got under my skin.

I equipped the relic that boosts damage in or on water and held off on the raven until half health. Coupled with this guide, she was a breeze!

Those fights are just too long to be fun
Absolute annoying designed
He's too low level so his hits don't do as much damage. It's takes about 3 minutes when you're level 15 and above

I don't have great eyesight so this helped a ton, I didn't realise she always used the melee strike after her projectiles.

If she is just floating over to a new place she is going to do the single projectile but if she teloports it's a flurry

I beat her by using the parry on her physical attack. She drops to the ground every time you parry her and you can just beat her to death.

As someone who has little to no patience, this boss fight was a nightmare for me. Way too long.
😂 You may want to stay away from Metroidvanias and Soulslikes then! These tend to have very tedious boss fights!
