I come from Death Metal but I got into Hardcore and I have respect for people who respect me, there's always going to be douchebags trying to be "tough" but I know it's all a Brotherhood and we go to shows for the same thing, to get away from daily life and have a positive outlet. SOIA are still touring their asses off today. I took my g/f at the time many years ago out on Valentine's Day for a surprise, I didn't tell her we were going to see SOIA! There was still a heart on the backdrop for the nightclub after the gig, the guys still remember the gig cos of this. Being British I lost it when they did a cover of Sham 69's Borstal Breakout and flew into the pit instead of looking after the g/f. I came out battered, bruised and very happy at the end of the gig. Big fan of NYHC, Pro Pain, Biohazard, SOIA and my favourite Life Of Agony who started off as NYHC but have matured a bit over the decades.
i would love to hear a new song and sound, but today it seems no one can play guitar or when they can its all about whine and cry by the campfire. the circle pit is an empty place nowadays.
