This is Every Single Time Telesto Broke Destiny! All the Way back in Rise of Iron and now all the way until Season 15 of Destiny 2. Some of these bugs are baby bugs, some are crazy bugs, and most are just damn funny! Telesto may It goes by many names. The Besto. The Bugged. It is the final shape. The end of all things. When other bugs are patched, Telesto will remain. It is an unstoppable force. Inevitable to be returned. Paracausal. Every Destiny player fears its power. Pocket infinity walked so Telesto could shatter the fabric of this game. Hopefully this gun never stops doing what it was made for.. farming TH-cam content and Reddit Gold!

Imagine if Telesto is like that SCP object, the one that's from cheesy horror movie and likes to scare people, and it's methods isn't very scary, but SCP personell has to act like they are terrified, because if they upset the object, it has potential to actually do serious damage. So right now Telesto is just a cheesy gun that sometimes breaks the game for it's dumb fun, but if Bungie will actually try to resolve the problem once and for all, it'll go rogue and overtake the game alltogether...

Telesto new catalyst perk - Bugged Armaments: Telesto has a 90% chance to have a new effect each update/hotfix. Effects can be: Orb generation, game crashes, projectiles counting as enemies for various effects, etc.

Considering that Bungie sometimes takes the community into account when it comes to lore, I'm surprised there hasn't been a mention of Telesto's weirdness in lore yet.

Telesto is known to kill bosses in immune phases.
You missed the menagerie gauntlet cheese, where firing telesto bolts over the finishing line counted as guardians passing over it. The encounter would finish faster and would allow for a flawless triumph without any risk
Came here looking for this, thanks. It also worked the same way for the Gauntlet encounter in the Leviathan raid, easiest way to get the triumph there, too

I’ve had a bug with Telesto that hasn’t been found actually, I get kills with it in PvP. Clearly that’s unintended as I’m the designated Crucible punching bag for enemy teams

All of these really make me wonder why Telesto's bolts count as enemies in the first place.
You can shoot them to make them explode, and they detonate each other in a chain reaction. Presumably they require a hit event available to the enemy type for this.

Every time she fires there is a 100% chance of a bug to appear resulting in complete chaos on your team with a 50% chance to return you to orbit having to start the whole raid again
Im convinced that at this point bungo have a special division of people dedicated to eliminating telesto bugs before they can do too much damage. the telesto team

1: The telesto explosion bullets had the ability to block hunter golden gun
2: It somehow un-banned itself from pvp

There is currently a bug with telesto while its disabled in all pvp activities you where actually able to bring the bugged telesto into freelance trials

it seems like every one of these bugs was either a graphics overload (not really avoidable) or due to the particles being counted as enemies. you'd think after all this time they'd address the root of the problem and not the symptoms, yeah? starting to think they just like to see what mayhem it causes to sate their bordeom. which, you know, i'm kind of all for. i'll just have to keep an eye on anything that sounds like it'd break the gun in the future in the hopes that i can abuse it before everyone knows about it.

There was a telesto bug recently where if you shot telesto at allies in crucible it could prevent damage, even golden gun wouldn't kill

I love how Bungie put the work into trials being good with an awesome system and came down with an iron fist on anything that would even remotely show potential to ruin it
I remember getting Telesto and thinking it was the coolest gun Bungie made for Destiny. It was so unique and felt like an ACTUAL exotic. It would really be a sad moment if they removed it for good.

Honestly, like 95% of the more game-breaking bugs never happen if they had just programmed the Telesto bolts to be immune to all forms of friendly fire.
I think between now and when this video launched, at least 7 new bugs/glitches/interactions/ect… were discovered involving Telesto.
Edit, OK, SCRATCH THAT. Cheese Forever apparently just unveiled _13_ new glitches within 24 hours as of 8:52pm, 10/26/2021

I remember using it to farm the echo of oryx in the Cayde’s stash mission in D1. One of the first drops I got was telesto.

There was one you missed: in menagerie gauntlet, shooting telesto through the finish line counted as a player finishing the gauntlet for each telesto bolt
Telesto is disabled again for a bug (you can tank golden gun shots with it)

Well in the early release of Witch Queen Bungie decided to let Banshee fiddle with telesto in the tower. What has that done? Bugged the tower out, lower frames, occasionally crashing game while loading in. Additionally, for the first while whenever I went to talk to Banshee it either 1) full crashed the game. 2) made the screen blank but interactable. 3) made Banshee disappear so only telesto was on screen or 4) had Banshee pop in and out of existence while t-posing when buying upgrade modules (actually got a vid of it and it is highly amusing)

I got Telesto in early 2021 in the lost sector where you fight the big vex man on Europa through an Engram. I've never been so excited to cheese in crucible and gambit ever in my life.
