True, the thing is that Assasin creed was going to be a Prince of persia game in the beginning, the NEXT Prince of persia to be precise, the man who was encharged of the storyline said that this time the story will be about Prince of persia Assasins, an assasins that would protect Prince of persia from any danger and it will be an open-world game, but the director rejected the idea because he thought it would be a bad idea to be a Prince of persia game and be an open-world game and also that the game wasnt going to be centred in Prince himself didnt got much his attention, so the sotryline encharged took his team with him and created the first ever Assasin creed known in 2007. The Prince of persia 2008 was a try to reboot the franchise (Which by the way i loved that game because of it story and the type of animation it was) but it only sold 2.7 million copies vs Assasin creed who sold 11 million copies, then in 2010 they released the sequel, Prince of persia the forgotten sands and it sold 3.2 million vs Assasin creed who sold 11.32 million. Then they thought that the Franchise wasnt the same as it used to be and they stopped working on it and the Assasin creed ERA begun, in 2013 there was a post from Ubisoft where they explained that the Franchise of Prince of persia was taking a break due to it past but that was 4 years ago, so maybe they have really stopped working on it. But now, after so many sequels and different games of Assasin creed and from people being tired of Assasins creed, it wouldnt be a bad idea to bring back the Prince of persia Franchise. UBISOFT dont have to forget that Prince of persia was the franchise that made of UBISOFT what UBIOSFT is today.

The Hd version of this game is fucking broken in a way that people haven't noticed. The glowing marks on the prince used to gradually spread throughout the game back on the Ps2, they even removed the part where the prince even say that it is spreading. and when he transformed his marks would all glow and his eyes as well. They still released the game this way on purpose. The only better thing about this version is that is has decapitation which the Ps2 version did not.
I think they removed the spreading thing because it was so glitchy on the older versions. I can say I don't remember it working properly on a single playthrough on PS2 which I used to play loads as a kid. It would always show the later stages of it too early in the game or vice versa. As for the dark prince not glowing, I noticed that too, I can't think of why they took that out. It was pretty cool when he got redder as he was dying, lel
I so sick of this Assassin's Creed games every year. I want new Prince of Persia just think about it takes places 30 years after Two Thrones Kaileena can't control sands of time and it becomes curse she goes back to The Prince for help but his too old and it's up his 3 sons to stop the curse. Not the most original story but it may work

As for a new Prince of Persia game, I think an overall reboot would be better. The story with Kaileena and Farah is finished basically. They really have no where else to go with it.
Your right THE SANDS OF TIME TRILOGY had a great beginning,a dark middle and a epic final too bad that Assassin's Creed doesn't know how to ended. I'm not a fan of AC but I feel bad for the fans because they were hoping for a epic conclusion. He isn't a pirate lol wait let me explain Prince attacks kingdom of Azar but the Vesier betrays him and uses the sands to create an army but the price in order to stop him opens the sands of time, hence cursing him to die. To change his fate Prince travels to the island it time to meet the princess of sands. He defeats her but then turns back time to save her and kill the guardian of time Dhaka. The Empress and Prince travel to Babylon where his kingdom is being attacked by the Vesier who was revived as Prince changed the time line it changed everything. And that's why Farah doesn't know the Princes even tho Farah and Prince fought together in Sands of Time.
There are 4 games, 3 of them in main trilogy are - 1. PoP Sands of Time 2. PoP Warrior Withing 3. PoP The Two Thrones 4. PoP Forgotten Sands - It was released later than the above 3, but it's time is set between PoP SoT and PoP WW (Not sure) There is also one latest game, which has nothing to do with this story, and its name is simply Prince of Persia (2008).
