I currently study online at HBS for a certificate program and should admit that I many things Charles mentioned are applicable to online program as well. 1. Case studies: in the program I have been enrolled at we analyze data of particular countries and also do some math (my weak point 😀). Companies choice is great as well, I really feel knowledge and analytical skills upgrade. Quite engaging and definitely not boring. 2. People studying with me are also open-minded and ready to help or share some useful information. 3. Experience exchange is awesome: we share different point of views, compare each other working and entrepreneurial experience. Charles is really interesting person to hear from 😊
@@aminamin8910 Sure. I studied fully online and took three courses - Global Business, Disruptive Business Strategy and Sustainable Business Strategy. All the programs were extremely insightful, we studied various case studies like the success of Netflix and the failure of Blockbuster, the success of Walmart and Lipton in the field of sustainable transitions. Moreover, we also examined the case about sexual assaults in Barrick Gold. To sum up, I would say all three programs I was enrolled in were extremely valuable.
I'm curious - you asked him what tangible ways his networking helped him, and they all seemed logical. In terms of yourself (and I hope I've got this right), you applied with two possible results: you go into banking or a hedge fund again, or RL takes off and you stay down that path. The latter has come to fruition, so my question is: has your networking "plan"* (?) changed going into your MBA now that it's more focused on the entrepreneurial side; and what tangible networking are you hoping to "get out of it"*? 😃 *For lack of a better word/expression Loved it! A year or so ago when you started banking videos, I had little to no knowledge/interest, but it's a topic I've slowly been exposed to and enjoyed.
Medical student here, I'm really thinking about getting an MBA to change to Finance, Is there any kind of experience I can have on my Resume (besides online courses) like internships, etc before applying to an MBA ? I feel like I'm already starting behind when it comes to applying for an MBA.....
As a prospective b-school student, I really appreciate you putting this together. Great work!
