Nice! This would make a.good basis for a custom designed 3d printed handheld gaming device. One thing I don't understand though is how this screen can refresh at 60hz - I thought that the gpio pins give you inherently bad refresh rates as they can't deliver 60hz due to bandwidth limitations. I wonder how this screen gets round that.
Hi! I need to switch automatic from TFT to HDMI when the cable is plugged, and return back to TFT when is unplugged. There's some way to do this? I've exactly this TFT screen model. Thanks in advanced!
Quick question. Got the screen myself but can't seem to pair my Bluetooth controller. How did you get to pair yours? One of the options on the config file where you set the screen buffer and all disables the Bluetooth? I think.
go to raspi-config go down to bluetooth add new pairing device or whatever it says, once it picks up your controller go to the option that says no input/output. If you're using a ps4 controller holding the ps button+share button at the same time does the trick
I did get one similar to this a few months ago but at half the cost. The only problem is the screws that go into the corner posts are too short and pop out.
I use the F710 on my rasberry pi 3 and there is a noticeable delay with games that require fast responses, like Ninja Gaiden, Mike Tyson's Punch Out, even The Mario Bros series....the button response is not instant...do you have this experience?
i use a xpt2046 touch controller and it only shows the loading screen and not the game but it still plays the game through the hdmi can you put a download link to the config file you use because no matter what i do it never works
I have the hardware, but need a TOTALLY foolproof way to make the damn thing work. I tried someone else's and they crashed my Pi with a "kernel panic" (WTF is that)? You guys seem to make it work, just want someone to be straight on making this work. I need this for business reasons. And if it works, I can create a small issue of mini-tricorders in real time in something they can put in there pocket with external PSs. I just want to attached the screen with whatever it takes and make it work and then mess with it. Thank you in advance if you can help.
Hey Drew.. i have a Pi 7in touch with pi3 running Emulation Station... and been trying hook up my Bluetooth speaker... can you point me in the right direction please... Thanks
5:09 - Americans really are good at bastardizing language 😬 I've seen this one a lot and it's bad enough when you yanks say it wrong, but it looks even worse when you guys spell it wrong. It's not "walla!", or any variation. The word is "voilà!". And it is pronounced starting with a "VW" sound. It's French and it literally means "look there!". So they literally don't teach English in America? 🤔😅
This is exactly what I've been looking for! A cheap way to make a portapi.

Would I also be able to still connect this to an HDTV via HDMI with no issues? I've been wanting to make a portable Pi that I can connect to a TV.
I don't see why not, but now I'm curious as well.
I was wondering the same thing. It would be super cool to have a portable screen but when you're near a TV plug it in and play.
ZootLives I own it and that doesn’t work sadly😞
Ni dices la página de los drivers y ni contestas más ayuda a tu comunidad
