Great video! Didn't know Florina gad such a mountainous environment, beautifull! By the way, why was the train set hauled by a locomotive? It could move by itself...
Hello there. It's a usual practice in Greece during or after a heavy snowfall heavy diesel locos to haul light trainsets for safety reasons.Fallen trees is the biggest reason. Florina line is an old remote branch line and the route beside extremely beautiful is old and dangerous in the winter. Fog and snowstorms are very often.
@@panoscoach310 Thanks a lot, that makes sense. Once the pandemic is over and I come to Greece, I should make a trip on this line. I wonder how long it will remain in use, now that everything is being modernized.
