LR won’t stitch the HDR images from an iPhone 13 pro. It doesn’t seem to like the HDR images the camera produces. PS will stitch though. I’d rather use LR because of more stitching options. Is there a way to get LR to work? I’ve already tried HDR panoramic setting doesn’t work.
Love panoramas. One I took and love the most is the horse-shoe fall in Niagara from maid-of-mist boat. Having taken hundreds of those, I still have no clue how to use the arrow to stay on track. I feel like that the arrow just does whatever it wants to do and and does. Or really guide me. Once arrow goes off center, there is no real way to know how to bring it on track. Apple needs to work on that. Any suggestions other than ‘try to keep arrow in the center’?
Can my iPhone12 Pro Max take a 360 degree pano or a spherical pano. What if the exposure changes as you’re panning, such as a cloud all of a sudden blocks the sun? Can I set the exposure to be constant? If so, how do I set the camera to a constant exposure?
No, the native iPhone Camera app cannot take a 360 panorama. As for different exposures on the scene, you can lock the exposure if you tap and hold on the screen.

Many of my friends told me that iPhone can't take better pictures and videos as compare to their Samsung, Oppo, etc. After watching your videos, I can now show off what wonders my iPhone 12 Pro Max can do. Thanks for sharing, 😆 Awesome video. 👍🏻
When taking a Panorama, ideally you'll want to rotate the camera/phone around the optical axis to get as little shift in perspective and focus as possible. By rotating from the waist with your arm in front of you, you are making a large curve, far from the optical axis. This is far from ideal for good panoramas and likely complicates the stitching issues due to mismatches in focus and perspective. if you hold the camera in portrait orientation like you do, try supporting your arm with your other hand and only rotate the phone from your wrist. Basically look at where the lens you're using is on your phone and try to make that the axis around which you rotate the phone while taking the panorama. This should yield better panoramas that stitch better as you are rotating much closer to the optical axis. If anything, the curve you make while you move the phone should be slightly concave, rather than convex. Hope this helps.
@@veryryan9771 The way he moves the phone, it is like it is traveling around the outside front part of a circle in front of your body. This is the worst way to do it, but it is how most people, instinctively do it. That is the convex part. Ideally you rotate around the optical axis, but it can be tricky to find and do in smartphones without a good tripod and some adapters and knowing how to set it up. So the best alternative is to move like you are moving along the inside of the circle. Imagine you have the same circle in front of your body but now the phone is at the inside of the rear half. is that clearer?
Agreed. The lens needs to rotate on the nodal point, fairly easy to kluge together with off the shelf parts. Alas, it isn't possible to get full rectilinear 360 with Apple's stock Camera Pano Mode. It maxes out at about 275. It's a shame because Apple's stitching algorithm is generally excellent (especially when lens is at the nodal). There is one third party iOS app, DMD Panorama, that does full rectilinear 360. But unfortunately, you DO get stitching artifacts in that one. If Apple captured full (rectilinear) 360 with it's excellent stitching, this would be worth paying for!
When taking the last shot with the sunset I noticed that you didn’t set the exposure on the sun. Why not? In another of your videos you suggested that. Can you explain why you did not set exposure in this video?
