It was a great event and I really enjoyed meeting you and other AG collectors. Thank you for the detailed review of the cart my girls really liked it and added it to their Xmas list. They got the accessories, the three outfits and both pets at the event.
Your right her big ticket item was only $125. AG/Mattel is focusing on their target audience “children” with this collection, not us adult collectors. I also feel they are silently pushing you to buy their existing “truly me” collection to grow summer collection. Thanks for your journalism skills on AG and your reviews. Side note do you have a doll room where you display all your AG collection?

I have a pile to sell on market facebook and my core collection I want to add and grow like Grace bakery and Claudie collection.
Hi! would you consider talking about American Girl targeting small businesses? Myself and other designers are being copyright striked by Mattel simply for using their dolls in the photos. People need to contact AG and tell them this is not right! 😢
Are there anymore updates about upcoming releases for the rest of the year? Ive seen your videos about auroura and barbie outfits.... is this still probable this year?
I don’t know about Aurora , but the Barbie collection is very likely. It might be more for adult collectors - in which case it doesn’t have to be tied to Christmas and released early to build up excitement. I think AG will release it close to the shipping date of the limited edition Barbie doll , when social media will be full of Barbie. There has to be winter mix and match collection. There is a rumor about limited edition Halloween doll. I think I heard about a Peanuts collab.
@rainbowunicorncat1 thanks! I'm fairy new to AG, but are the leaks and speculations heard from insiders typically true, only difference is maybe they get the general release date wrong? Or have there been times there have been rumors about something coming from a trusted source but it being wrong? It's crazy the amount of stuff that has been speculated to be released by the end of the yeat! Really can't wait for thr barbie collection! Seeing how fast the barbie doll sold out the clothing pieces will probably sell out super fast as well. Very very surprised the anna and elsa dolls haven't sold out yet.. I thought for sure they would be gone in a week. Why do you think that is? Is it becuase people now know they are releasing playline versions of the disney collectors(i think I heard that.)
It’s not just her “big ticket item” that has shrunk. She only has 2 extra outfits plus pajamas. Lila had 3 extra outfits plus pajamas, and Kavi had like 5 or 6! So they are really making these GOTY collections smaller. I think they just don’t like it when the stuff sits on the website forever, but I don’t know why they don’t just make smaller quantities of each outfit.
Kavi had more because she had clothes that came with her trunk. I think Summer’s stuff will fly off the shelves, they could have made her collection larger.
Oh this cart sounds so cool. I really love it. Comparing Kavi's trunk set with this, in my honest opinion, this has a wider play value as it can be used for a wide variety of dolls, TM, historical and GOTY, with a few play food sets added or even hand made, and goes well with TM sets.. Kavi's trunk goes with very few dolls stories, Rebecca and Claudie and Isabelle, perhaps Melody, come to mind. And I did find Kavi's trunk and musical set both good buys. Also newer TM sets are often easy to find secondhand online for not so expensive as well.

The doll room is work in progress because honestly I have too much stuff or maybe our house is too small, not sure which one 🤣

I don't honestly think most kids would spend 125 on a playset when they could get another doll unless they felt they had a lot of dolls already.
It’s a cool set though. You can set it up as anything with the right accessories - hot dog stand, ice cream stand, taco stand, flower stand…

I agree, the cart is very versatile! The cart can be used for anything- ice cream, tacos, hot dogs, waffles, flower stand, farmers marker stand .
