PAY MOMS TO STAY HOME WITH THEIR CHILDREN. THE COST OF DAYCARE, TRAVEL EXPENSE. MOMS STAYING HOME WOULD RECIEVE A STIPEN TO BE A MOM. THERE TO GREET KIDS COMMING HOME, TO FIX SUPPER, BREAKFAST. MONEY FOR MOMS TO STAY HOME TO BE MOMS. WOULD CHANGE A LOT OF THINGS.

I work from 8a-6p and have a 1 hour commute so I had to pay $200/week for childcare from 7:30a-5p then also pay a babysitter $40/ day ($20 per hour) to pick up my daughter from the childcare facility and bring her home to wait until I got home around 6:45p.
It cost me over 1k per month on childcare just to go to work. That doesn’t include running errands, date night or any special work events that were mandatory to attend. I couldn’t afford it snd I make 65k/yr. I struggled every month and had to sacrifice many basic necessities just to pay for childcare.

Not sure what you do but I'd ask my employer to work in the office until 3 so you could pick up your child... Then maybe finish your shift at home.

Childcare costs are exorbitant in the United States & it has only worsened over the years. This is precisely why I'm so happy I do not have the unnecessary burden of parenting. I'm very glad to be able to invest my hard earned money and not be forced to spend my income on babysitters & daycare providers. I feel very sorry for anyone that has babies in this era. Most individuals need dual income if both parents are present in the household & therefore spend a fortune on childcare unless their babies attend school, 1 parent stays home with the babies or parents have family / friends that can support the babies while both parents work. Single mothers are usually impacted the most by increased childcare costs.

Another reason why having kids is a choice.

Very silly to say, when you make childcare hard you end up having a population deficit like China. You’re talking about making it hard for people to help build the future of the country & help keep the economy flowing

I don't see why anyone is still having kids, anyway. It's not affordable, pregnancy is now extremely and even more likely to be life-threatening, and the kids are at an absurdly high risk for being m*rdered at school. What's the point? It's so irresponsible and selfish to bring a kid here only to suffer.

This may be a blessing in disguise. It is much better to raise your own children than to hand them over to strangers. Children need to spend more time with their mothers in those critical early years of life. I would rather dedicate my life to my babies and my own family instead of some boss that doesn’t care about me.

You make it sound as if it were an option and Mother’s rather go to work.
This hasn’t been an option for many,MANY years now. Nowadays it’s absolutely mandatory for both parents to work full time just to meet basic needs. Just to survive, not thrive. This “blessing” would make families homeless or starve. It would bring severe depression and even death.
Is that what you think is best for the children? Your definition of a “blessing” is torture and cruelty in reality. I don’t wish that on any child or family. I’m assuming your too privileged to understand the actual reality for working parents. You’re very fortunate but sadly not the majority and not in touch with the real world and it’s problems.
