-Nepal's main problem is lack of funds which can be fulfilled from FDI. If Nepal had enough fund for development no FDI would be required
Major reasons for less FDI in Nepal:
- policy of easy exit of FDI and profit repatriation is really difficult. The policy should be revised
- non existence of transparency and well defined tax laws in the country.
- socialist economic policies
- Nepalese mindset regarding MNC and foreign investment. Majority of Nepalese are focused on trading business rather than manufacturing

I couldn't fully understand your point but from what I understood I would like to explain why we need manufacturing over trading:
1) job creation: Manufacturing industries create job opportunities at various skill levels, from unskilled labor to highly skilled professionals, contributing to reducing unemployment rates.
2) Economic Diversification:
A strong manufacturing sector diversifies the economy, reducing reliance on a single sector like agriculture or services, making the economy more stable and resilient to external shocks.
3) Technology development
Manufacturing requires technological advancements and innovation, leading to the transfer of technology, knowledge, and skills. This promotes overall technological development in the country.
4) value addition and export potential:
Manufacturing adds value to raw materials, increasing their worth and potential for export. Exporting manufactured goods can boost foreign exchange reserves and improve the country's balance of trade.
5) long term economic development:
Sustainable manufacturing practices contribute to long-term economic growth by creating a cycle of investment, production, consumption, and reinvestment, driving overall economic progress.
Thus this is what our country needs.
@NabinShrestha-ov4zi bro manufacturing boost trading it's obvious but it's not other way around. We are just importing and trading things via store or via online media. Online is just a technological advancememt which can be achieved easily. However we need a strong manufacturing base in the country if we really want to develop. Else trading is what we have been doing and it will bring no improvement. Since we have bigger markets like India and china in our door steps and we have 24 years of median age. It is the correct time for industrial revolution in Nepal.
If not now it will never be. We will be trapped in import cycle.
Manufacturing not only means large scale manufacturing it can be started with small funds and on a small scale. The government needs to promote SME and we as Nepalese citizen should promote made in Nepal products.

When they don't pay taxes, they have many left overs amount to enjoy their lives. First foreign fund in Nepal is useless for investor because of not direct connectivity with ports and for cheap labour cost investor will either choose India or Bangladesh. The only way possible for it is should be minimal taxes or 0 taxes which is impossible in Nepal.
The main problem is Nepali people focus more on trading than on producing. Until every Nepali is able to know and utilize resources around them only FDI will never help in national economic growth. There is a high chance of risk like frauds while being interested on FDIs. The companies can easily take advantage of labour and exploit them in a country like Nepal. They can exploit the environment and push us more towards debts. So the government should critically analyze and find about upcoming risks, advantages, problems, their solutions and many more. Every possible expert should be consulted and only we can carry our steps forward for FDIs. Else FDI would be another source to fill pockets of politicians and empty the pockets of normal civilians.
