NPR Announcing Oscar for Ray, 1991

I finally found this recording that I made three decades ago. This was the famous NPR (America's National Public Radio) announcing the special Oscar for Satyajit Ray for his lifetime of achievement (on my channel you can see the full ceremony). Thank God, I had my tape recorder handy when this was being announced. In it you hear the voices of Govind Nihalani, the brilliant actress Smita Patil, Ray biographer Andrew Robinson and veteran NPR reporter Julian Crandall Hollick, apart from Ray himself.
The sketch was an illustration I made for an essay that I wrote for a Bengali magazine that I wrote at the time. For those who don't read Bengali, it says "Ray at 70." (literally "Ray at the start of his 70's")
