Wales has some of the most picturesque lines in the UK. Plus amazed you can remember the facts and figures facing camera, I haven't been brave enough for that yet!!!. Thanks for another enjoyable video.

Love your videos, Sarah, especially your 'tongue in cheek' style presentation and extended video duration! Was on the line yesterday and saw the new steel bridge sections stored at Morfa Mawddach about to be inserted onto the Barmouth Bridge in the imminent forthcoming 3-month closure. Can I recommend the Ffestiniog Round Robin day ranger ticket covering North Wales which includes the Ffestiniog narrow-gauge line at no extra cost - fantastic value! I can do it from Lancaster in a day.

Brilliant Sarah, really enjoyed the stations in this video and the bonus station as well. Been on the Ffestiniog Railway in the past and is a lovely line, wouldn't mind going back there again in the future.

Hi Sarah, excellent video. Informative and enjoyable as always. I hadn’t realised you’d cover Pwhelli on this video. As a kid in the 80s, we had a few holidays at Butlins Pwhelli. I loved the fact that there was a railway station almost in the camp. Butlins had their own mini railway that ran from the camp to the beach, as well as a cable car. Loved both.
I did go on the Ffestiniog at least once. Beautiful engines and railway.
Catching up on your channel over the next few days, having been in Europe for five weeks.

Brilliant video Sarah, the Cambrian Coast line looks pretty, shame the trains on it are every 2 hours though. I would also love to visit the Ffestiniog railway someday. :)

I don't know if you know this already but Penrhyn station, on the Ffestiniog Railway is just up the road from Penrhyndeudraeth National Rail station.

Da iawn, Sarah. All pronunciations good. The old Cook's Works site between Llandecwyn and Penrhyndeudraeth is worth a look. Formerly the main explosives works that supplied among other things British coal mines with dynamite, it is now a nature reserve with some of the explosives workshops intact. There's a great testing 'canon; in a shed at the top.

See now i'd like to do a Venture on the Cambrian Coast Line! It'll take me 4 days to do it but still. Sun, Sea, Sand and of course. Superior Sprinters!! :D I've been on the Welsh Highland Mini Railway and i've enjoyed your take on the whole line!

Glad you enjoyed the video Tico! I'm hoping to visit the rest of the Cambrian Line stations when I'm next in Wales! Would've been awesome to go to all of them this time but it was not to be!

Portmeirion was also used as the setting for the 1970s Dr Who story The Masque of Mandragora. And a former military camp near Tonfanau station was used to house Ugandan refugees when President Idi Amin had expelled the Ugandan Asians. And how useful would the line be now from Afon Wen- Caernarfon- Bangor…great work Sarah, really enjoyed this one.👏

You could of walked to a number of nearby train stations in the time you waited for the next train and done one, two or three in one go
Penrhyndeudraeth & Minfordd are almost in the same village, same Aberdyfi & Penhelig, Aberech & Pwllheli etc. Also instead of using Google Maps that only shows routes along roads try using the Coastal Path routes that follow public footpaths and follow the coastline rather than main roads. The line is practically built along it.

Was it just a coincidence or did everyone agree to go to Wales this year and film?
Also, the Barmouth Viaduct being replaced/upgraded project starts this weekend

Sarah, now that you've heard all the Welsh stops announced properly, I'm sure you'll have no difficulty pronouncing them correctly in the future? 😃
I appreciate the difficulty of walking on soft grass on unpacked earth over a distance. It tires our legs and hips in short order if we're accustomed to walking only on hard surfaces. I hope the grass was short and dry.
