Doing this type of charity work to gain social media clout, goes against scripture, making it hypocritical at best, rendering the gesture empty and meaningless. These things should be done in private. The Qur'an, makes this point in 2:264, which reads in English as follows: “O you who believe! Do not render vain your charity by reminders of your generosity or by injury, like him who spends his wealth to be seen of men and he does not believe in Allah nor in the last Day.”
You’re wrong it’s not being vain as people need to see stuff like this, maybe they would help more and give more to the needy. The brothers doing a great job and showing how people are suffering and what we as human beings need to do to help these people. Allah also said if you got nothing good to say then don’t say anything at all.
